“We received excellent care at Griffin Health! Our dad required emergency care and an inpatient admission while visiting family in Seymour, Connecticut. From the moment we arrived in the Emergency Department through the entire admission process, the experience was outstanding for our 85-year-old dad and for our whole family.
Dr. Douglas Finefrock, the emergency room physician, went above and beyond to ensure our dad received the very best care. Thank you, Dr. Finefrock, for your exceptional compassion and professionalism.
The whole inpatient team was also exceptional!
We are also deeply grateful to Sharon Tallberg, the pharmacist, who spent so much time coordinating with the insurance company to make sure our dad had every medication he needed at discharge. Thank you, Sharon, for your dedication and kindness.
To the entire Griffin Health team—thank you for the excellent care you provide to your patients. We truly appreciate everything you did for our dad.”

“Love this thrift shop! Went for the first time last week to bring a donation & also went in the store. I was so impressed. The staff is wonderful & the merchandise is well displayed. Everything is so organized & clean. I made a purchase, of course....and I will now be a regular customer. It's great to make a purchase that benefits others.”
“I was happy with the thought of donating a bedroom set to a good cause but a little disheartened when they picked it up and told me it would cost a hundred dollar donation. Neither one of the people I spoke with there told me that ahead of time.”
“BCRA,they really care about their dogs and it shows. We adopted our last dog from here and over 8.5 years Jenn always answered my text or phone calls anytime I had a question or concerns. I appreciate that so much. It's always been nice and clean and the dogs are healthy! Plus when you adopt here they give all kinds of goodies to go home with your pup wether it's blankets, toys, food etc. If your looking to adopt this is a wonderful place to get your new furry family member. Thanks BCRA for a wonderful dog and a great friendship. ??”
“The people were easy to work with , application process was easy, people returned emails same day-the place was immaculately kept , each crate super clean, cats and kitten all well kept and looked healthy… and were adopted out wonderful Holly ( aka Milly) ❤️”
“Our first time here. What stood out was the kindness and positive energy. Even from other customers. Prices are excellent. Lots to choose from. A few employees took the time to tell us about their mission which my daughter and I support wholeheartedly! They also showed us around a bit and were so informative. Will be returning with friends for sure!!”
“I tried writing a review twice just now but Everytime I add my pics it deletes and goes back to the google search results of the goodwill in Monroe. Anyway, I’d give 5 stars but some products are a little overpriced. I think the clothes are priced fairly mostly, same with hardwares. But you know those Steve Madden sandals? The ones dating back to the 90’s, they had the stretchy black band and the chunky heel? They were at this GW (2 pairs actually) and in great condition but clearly from another decade and still priced $19.99. I’ll have to wait for a sale but I guess GW priced it that way because that style is still sold by Steve Madden and is a popular style. They also retail, brand new for $79.99 (I think), but $19.99 for what I think are shoes from 90’s to 2010’s? I understand the style is still in, and they retail for $80 but that’s a little steep for donated shoes. The Kate spade bag I bought (yellow, so 12.50) was $24.99 so I was surprised the shoes were that much. There was a weekender bag made by SakRoots? Idk what that is but the bag which was in good condition at best, was $19.99.
Also sizes are all over the place. Especially the jeans and dresses but otherwise it’s kind of organized.
Overall great experience. I had to dig but I found a lot of stuff.”
“Just adopted our new kitty from them and the experience was wonderful. They got back to us quickly after submitting the application, worked with our schedule to cover meet the cats, let us take our time with several cats and even walked or dog while we were inside with the cats. The staff was so friendly and their adoption price is very reasonable. We love our new big man! Highly recommend if you’re interested in adopting!”
“I provide personal support to an individual and he loves shopping at the store as I do, the times we've been there everyone is always pleasant and nice. We leave the store feeling good about the experience”
“my 5 and 7 year old boys loved taking pony rides here. Great introduction to the equestrian world. Hopefully we'll have more time to do more rides and eventually some lessons!”
“Its the "VERY" best of the best in thrift shops everything matters they dont just "throw" things on a table instead is put in a place that accentuates its unique and often antique nature two floors of visiting gram n u get to bring home the things you like =0) i give it 5 smiles”
“I have recently joined the Lakewood Trumbull Y and my experience so far has been stellar.
From the moment you walk in you are greeted by friendly people at the check/in, who are truly and genuinely happy to see you.
Gym facilities have state of the art equipment with staff available to answer questions. I am working with a Trainer who is exceptionally knowledgeable and respectful as she mentors me through a very affordable 8 session introductory package.
I see many other program offerings as well, and in time hope to avail myself of those opportunities. Locker room facilities are plentiful and very well kept and clean.
This Y is a wonderful establishment for Trumbull and the surrounding towns. Its warm and inviting sense of community makes everyone feel most welcome.”

“We brought our Cub scouts to learn more about what the farm does. They had the kids pick fresh vegetables for the soup kitchen and taught them about the horses while letting them brush them. The kids had a great time.”
“I started donating in NJ because my husband and father in law were Veterans. Now in CT and still donating. Never have I had any problems with pickup. I try to schedule on days when it is sunny no rain in forecast.”
“I wanted to take up swimming again after a very long break. I am new to the area and thought I’d check out this Y.
I am very impressed! Very clean facility and pool, welcoming atmosphere and awesome friendly staff.
It’s been several weeks and I’m very happy I joined. The pool is not overly busy and you can reserve lanes for laps.”
“The Valley YMCA is like my home I worked there for about 5 years and I loved every moment of being there thank you to Julie Mott & Mark LaFortune and Y Staff for everything”
