Oxford Veterinary Hospital: Reynolds Marc C DVM
487 Quaker Farms Rd, OxfordThey have been phenomenal for our 4year old cat. She is feisty and has unfortunately had quite a list of health issues over the past year and a half. Last year she became very sick basically overnight. Our previous primary "low cost" vet was impossible to get a hold of. I was frantically calling every vet I could find and no one was willing to fit her in as a new patient. They were so kind and did what they could to get us seen. They worked with us on finding her the right medication and offered affordable options. Their visits are pretty affordable as well. The doctor is great, thorough, and straight to the point. Would absolutely recommend.

Pet Sitting & Training

Woodland Kennel
6 Cortland Pl, OxfordWoodland Kennel is amazing at teaching dogs to hunt and listen well. Geoff is a great trainer who helped our dogs, Cooper and Blaze, become awesome hunters. They learned to follow commands and find birds like pros. We're really happy with how good they are, thanks to Geoff's training, Highly recommend coming here if you want to field bred dog.

Black Hog Brewing Co
115 Hurley Rd Building 9A, OxfordThis review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. Black Hog brewery holds one of my favorite beer fests in CT on their grounds (barrel aged beer fest), so I've been here before. But this was my first dedicated visit to the brewery itself.
The brewery occupies a big building, and they made renovations over time. During my last visit, the layout of the place changed, allowing them to move some tables to a nicer area. There's not that much space available for customers - several tables inside and a patio area outside. No food is served, but there are food trucks onsite.
I tried almost all Black Hog beers before, so this time I mostly topped off the ones I missed before. You can't order a beer flight, but short pours are available, so it's easy to try as many beers as you want. There's always a variety of styles available on tap. Their beers are solid choice, I can't complain about any one I had. My favorites are Disco Pig Barrel Aged Oud Bruin (barrel aged sour) and Leaves a Mark (Imperial Stout). Both are rich in taste and memorable.
As a summary, I will recommend this brewery to any craft beer enthusiast. Especially, if you have a love for barrel aged beers.
