“Not only is Fred incredibly knowledgeable about what he does, but he's also super nice, intelligent and funny. Add honest to that list, since I brought my items in not knowing anything about anything (except the standard Google search), and walked out feeling like I had somehow taken advantage of him. I could not be happier. (Sorry it took me so long to finally post my review)”
“The most outstanding company to work with on a simple flag order or flap pole repairs. Always pleasant, patient and very concise with their communication about what is needed. Having cared for estates on the East Coast and the West Coast, no matter where you are You should use this company..”
“Recently visited this store and was amazed by the extensive collection of POP Funko and WWE merchandise. The store boasts an impressive inventory of video games, action figures, and collectibles. Additionally, there is a tech lab in the back that specializes in repairing most electronics. For top-notch phone or console repairs, be sure to ask for Shea M.”
“Great selection, good deals, very hlfum pleasant staff. April in framing always goes above and beyond with my framing needs,/projects to answer questions I have and helps me find what I need. Great location.”
“You're not going to beat Alix. From prices to positivity, knowledge and professionalism. This shop and owner are the best in CT.
I'm a big collector and stop in from time to time to grab single cards especially autos for my personal collection.
I value the conversation I have with Alix more than the purchase.
I have been to many other card shops in Connecticut. They are severely overpriced and way less personal. Do yourself a favor and go check out this little gem and feel good about collecting!!! 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“Incredibly awesome place! Their selection is fantastic, the people that run the place are all very nice, and it feels like a very welcoming environment for all people. It's everything you want in a local game store and more.”
“Recently bought a PS5 (believe me, I know I'm late) and it was the exact right price, but even still, the owner walked me through the specs of the model I considered--it's the digital only.
He gave me straight facts about the machine's capabilities, how it would retro-fit my PS4 cloud data, and how i may upgrade it in the future.
GamesIRL (they had me at IRL) was already a destination for me for the Saturday modern mtg crowd, but this sets the gaming shop in its own spotlight.
Thanks GamesIRL”

“If you're any kind of fan of model building or wargaming go here, it's 100% worth it. I recently got into Warhammer and was so excited when I found out there was a GW store near me. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, you can tell that the people working here are fans of the hobby with a lot of passion. The selection there is really good one side of the store is for 40k and the other is for Fantasy/Age of Sigmar. The pricing is GW pricing if you know you know. It's a little more pricey than other stuff but the quality is there for sure. Pretty much everything is the same price as it would be online and that's pretty much the same whether you're at GW or a smaller hobby store. Not everything is marked with a price so I definitely recommend asking as Warhammer isn't as straight forward as other hobbies and a small miniature might be even more expensive than a box of 10. Would love to see more painted miniatures in the displays but that's about my only recommendation, I had such a good time.”

“Michaels a is great place if you're into any sorts of baking, arts, and crafts. I used to go all the time back in high school and college to buy supplies for my art classes; painting, sketching, ceramics, photography, etc. I even used to buy their shirts which were pretty cheap to tie-dye.
Now all the rage is around cricut; they have an aisle with all the supplies you need. I even bought fake flowers and various of other items for my wedding (super budget/DIY wedding and I'm proud of it). I also buy yarn for knitting and supplies for embroidering. They have kids craft too which my toddler loves. They offer custom framing and helium balloons; their website allows for customization options.
When I went, I saw a room for where they offer classes; summer camp are offered and birthday parties can be hosted at the stores. There are 1,252 Michaels in the US and Canada. I think it's a great store for the artsy and crafty people; even if you're not artsy/crafty it's fun to look at. Don't forget to check their website for coupons!”
“Kudo's to the staff at Michaels. My wife needed some very small brass screws to repair her jewelry case. Home Depot and Lowes did not have anything even close. We decided to try Michaels because this sort of thing may be used in some kind of craft project. They did not stock the screws either, but one of the staff suggested they had some small unfinished wooden boxes that also had small brass screws. Sure enough, the box which only cost $1.99 had the four screws that we needed! Problem solved! This solution happened because the professional staff, really knows their products.”
“Some of my all time favorite things can be found in this store, from a great selection of watercolor and alcohol pens, paints, and pencils to high quality paper, canvases, and more. Even the stock of impulse buy items from keychain rings, little toys and curiosity things are cool- and they've got these great candy choices. But my wife had pointed out out after each visit over the past year or two that we're for all intents and purposes completely ignored and even when trying to interact with someone when cashing out it does feel as if dealing with paying customers is way down on the list of things to be enthusiastic about.
We all have our good days and bad, but this feels like a long term trend.
I hope during our next visit that maybe that'll begin to improve.
All things considered, I love the store. I only wish that the people who work there felt half as good about being there.”
“Michael's Arts and Crafts in New Britain was formerly Office Max and their hours are Monday-Saturday 9am-9pm and Sunday 10am-7pm. I didn't buy anything from Michael's but I gave my friend a gift card to Michael's for her birthday for $25.”
“Very nice store, lots of interesting and rare items, staff is very kind and helpful. Unfortunately I wasn’t in the market to buy anything this time and couldn’t come to a deal with the owner about buying some of my collection, I appreciate the help they gave me when determining a price range for the items I was selling and am very pleased with the great customer service. I look forward to shopping here in the future.”
“Stopped by recently and the person running the store was very helpful and brought out a bunch of singles that I could look through. I also accidentally left my toploaders there on and I was able to grab them when I showed up the next morning. Very much appreciate the staff!”
