When the register told me that i got excited and said "wow what a bargain" and then I said how every place should have these prices. He then rolled his eyes at me and the workers there were clearly annoyed by my comment. This was meant to be a complement so I didn't understand why this was such an annoying compliment. However the flaming hot Cheetos are in the big bags and only $2.50 each. I think I made sales go up because after buying two bags there twice a week for about 5 weeks, prices went up. I tried to quit my addiction and then after quitting and coming back after 3 weeks, the prices dropped again. 4 stars. You can find everything there for good prices, but the workers are kind of rude and clearly don't want to be there, but I had a nice conversation about Panic! At The Disco once with a cashier.”

“I drove up to Long Ridge Service from downtown Stamford this morning and only had less than a half hour to get my emissions done. I took the chance before work. What a pleasant experience! I only had to wait 10 minutes until the mechanic drove my car into the bay and conducted the test. Very courteous service as well. I originally went to Goodyear on East Main Street in Stamford 2x!! I went to get the test done at 8:15 am . , no one at the front desk for 10 minutes, finally, a reluctant rep comes to the front desk, could care less, and the front desk rep told me they don't start taking cars for emissions until 9! Then I showed up at 9 and was told there was a 35 minute wait at least because they had a car in the bay and could not do any testing. I never had an issue 3 years ago when I went but now, customer service has significantly deteriorated! I can only imagine how the treat their regular customers for car repairs..”

“My old Toyota Land Cruiser was running very very rough. I called around town (and some Norwalk shops) and nobody would look at it for 2 weeks, Some wouldn’t take it at all, and others wanted $250 diagnostic charge. Not so at New Canaan Gulf. Matt B, the mechanic now running the business, agreed to take it right away. He diagnosed the problem(s) quickly, solved my problems in 2 hours, and I had my car back by afternoon for a fair price. He rebuilt the 50!year old carb, tightened the belt, replaced the spark plugs which were foiled from running too rich. Highly recommend this shop. I’ve read the other reviews and none of the complaints relate to current ownership, fair pricing, or ability to solve the problem. I think negative reviews from people who want free roadside assistance, or who are unhappy with Advanced Auto Parts quality should be deleted. Thank you, Matt. You’re a credit to New Canaan”
