“On Sunday a warning light went on as I was driving from NY to my daughter's home in Fairfield. I didn't know what I was going to do. My son-in-law told me about Fairfield Automotive. I called first thing Monday morning. I was able to bring it in that afternoon. The service was the absolute best. Dave and the rest of the team were wonderful. They were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient. They diagnosed the problem within minutes and resolved it shortly thereafter. I would recommend Fairfield Automotive to anyone.”

“Another excellent experience with Greg at Vautrin Auto. Earlier this year Audi dealership warned me that timing belt would require changing soon, but their quoted price was way too much. Needless to say, check engine light recently went on in my Audi Q5. I contacted Greg who was busy as ever but still managed to squeeze my suv in his schedule. He quickly diagnosed the problem and confirmed what was expected. Greg was very honest in letting me know that it would take some time for him to work on the suv, and after a few days he replaced the timing belt and few other items needed, all way under quoted dealer price. “Can't recommend Briggs Tire highly enough!! Excellent mechanics, very low key, they fix my car problems, quickly and with no drama.Background pre-Briggs:I had had 4 new tires put on by a local chain tire store in December 2022. Nothing but trouble for a year. Tires would not hold air, warning lights constantly going on concerning low tire pressure. This was constant. I would fill them up and light would go on soon after, if it went off at all. Hot weather, cold weather, any weather. I had never had these problems previous to getting the new tires at the local chain.Briggs determined that it was a tire pressure valve problem and a few other issues.Briggs solved it all and fixed all of it for a reasonable price. Very friendly, super honest people who really want to help you and solve your car issues.Briggs also checked my car out, engine, brakes, etc. and told me that everything was good, while another place had told me I needed a few thousands dollars worth of work.Car now runs great, I can finally relax and not worry anymore about tires or anything else.Briggs gets my highest recommendation!! Very grateful that I have found them.”

“Place is honest and effective as can be. Started doing my tires there for a few years as well as emissions and saw how they operate and have been coming for everything else. Brought my Nissan Rogue there last night with 115k on it and a check engine on and he called me early the next morning letting me know I could get it well over 200k and how to maintain. The lady up front is nice and Adam genuinely wants to get you out of there with your car maintained/fixed and without killing your wallet. Highly recommend.”
“Had a great experience with Smitty’s. We were driving from New Jersey and had to be at a wedding in Boston last Friday night. Cruising along at 65 mph on the Merritt Parkway when the yellow check engine light came on and the car suddenly lost most of its power. I immediately got off at the next exit which was Norwalk Connecticut. Did a search for local service centers and Smitty’s seemed to be the closest. Without an appointment, I drove up and one of the owners had one of his mechanics come out and put the car on a scope to diagnose it. It turned out to be a misfiring cylinder. The mechanic ordered the necessary parts from a parts dealer who apparently was very close. Within one hour I was back on the road. Dropping the work that he was doing in order to help me out went above and beyond and I am truly thankful for that. I consider it one of the luckiest days in my life!”

“I went to Shufelt's for the first time 5/30/2023. I brought in a 2013 Toyota Camry with brakes starting to grind. They were in rough shape. I work in Norwalk but live in Bristol, so driving this thing home wasn't an option.The whole job was done last minute, and I was able to pick up my car in the morning. I ended up having the brakes and rotors replaced, calipers were serviced, and the technician noticed a sway bar link damaged, so I had him replace that. He showed me the condition of the parts.The vehicle is running great, and the price was fair. I feel like this shop is a good honest shop, and we need more shops like this. I plan on visiting in the future and recommend this shop to anyone in the Norwalk area.Services: Steering & suspension repair”

“If you're not going here for your tires, you're missing out on old school A+ hometown service. My sister sent me to this little gem of a shop when I had a slow leak in a fairly new tire. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. They diagnosed the issue as a puncture from a screw, removed the screw, plugged the hole, topped off all tires with air and sent me on my way for 10 bucks. I tipped the competent and friendly person who helped me (It was so quick I didn't catch his name), went on my way, and have been fine since. I will never go to my dealer or big box store for tire issues again. My sister and brother-in-law also buy their tires at Currie's, now, I will too. Thanks Currie's!!”
“Highly recommend this location of Town Fair Tire! We always receive excellent service, they are accommodating and flexible on appointment times, and they are competitively priced. We have been going to this location for years and the assistant manager, Leighton, truly values return customers and always goes out of his way to be helpful regardless of the situation. We tried Costco tires once, but will always stick with Town Fair because of the personal service we receive.”
