“If you like bookstores that specialize in selling scented candles, cute socks with pictures of cats reading on them, and magnets with drawings of women from the 60's with a witty quip, you should probably go elsewhere. If you love books and reading, this is going to be one of your favorite places in southern Connecticut.”

“A bookstore straight out of a movie scene! The outside is picturesque and for a small town bookstore, the selection was immense. I was particularly pleased with the amount of poetry and there seemed to be a nice balance between classic literature and more modern offerings. I’m looking forward to stopping in again and hopefully making a purchase the next time I visit!”

“This is an independent bookstore with a friendly staff. I am a fantasy reader and that selection was not that big, but they have a lot of fiction and a beautiful children’s section!”
“For being a bookstore, they have a great variety of merchandise and other items for sale. From chargers to calculators to food to sweatshirts, they've got quite a lot. Plus, the book selection is great, and the prices aren't as bad as the stereotypical college bookstore. SHU's on-campus bookstore definitely fills its niche well.”
“The choice of books is important and pleasantly displayed. The women very helpful, advice, ordering a special request, holding books if necessary, very helpful with children. A place I look forward to visiting each time I come back to Darien. I'm going home with 2 books.”
“While my preference is to shop in used bookstores for my own collection, I decided to check out this place as I was looking for a gift. The store is spacious and well organized and I liked that there was a best seller list table right when you walk it. Decent selection of books prominently displayed; I enjoyed looking at all the different genres. They have greeting cards, gift items, Fairfield U clothing and paraphernalia. I was able to find a great book gift that happened to be 30 percent off. They also have a cafe/coffee shop and some indoor and outdoor seating. Upstairs for the textbooks. On street parking. I would recommend a visit.”
“This bookstore is in an universe of its own. Each genre was like a world you could escape into. It multi-leveled and maze like. I really enjoyed the local selection San Franciscan books and the children's section. The children's section consisted of books that I would be able to find elsewhere. Not you typical Eric Carle or Dr. Seuss.”
“This store is very cozy, probably one of my favorite B&N stores (even though it’s not huge). Great to concentrate on what you are looking for? The staff is very friendly and helpful in case you can’t find what you need.”
