“I've been going to Westport hardware for more than 50 years since I was a little kid and it's always been an incredible resourceIf you're looking to do multiple projects around your house without wanting to drive to one of the big box like Home Depot or Lowe's you can find what you need at a reasonable price help even if it was 50% more or even double I would still go there just to save the hassle but the prices are reasonable and actually less than what you'd expectThe customer service is excellent and everybody cares about what they're doingThis is the way businesses in United States used to be run but sorry to say there's a small percentage that still have this level of ExcellenceI plan on using Westport Hardware as a resource for a long long timeAnd... if you call and are put on hold, just bear with it. The people that they are giving help to, is the same level of service you're going to get if you are just patient.-T”

“My 9 year old son and I stopped here on our way to Stamford. Upon entering the store we were immediately greeted with a friendly staff member. A big smile on his face and a hello. Offering help if we needed it. The store is spotless and well organized with a little something for everyone as well, as a nice selection of hardware products. Nothing in the store was out of place. It was like a breath of fresh air . Staff members came by and kindly asked if they could help us locate anything and when my son asked them a question they went out of their way to answer him even engaging in some friend conversation. We did end up purchasing some items . Cashier was very nice, quick and efficient and asked if we wanted to give our number for the rewards program. We did sign up . That was also a quick and easy process . We will definitely be back . We do visit some stores near by, so will make a trip again soon back to this location. Thank you. “I am new to the area and thought to shop local for our home instead of Home Depot or Lowe’s. My decision has proven to be wise. The differences with shopping here are: the staff customer service is from another bygone era - absolutely fantastic, they will shop with you, they load your car and truck, you will be guided to exactly what you need without frustration, they have everything in a solid quality version you’d possibly need, and the prices are very fair. The values exemplified at this store are a rarity and it’s a pleasure to shop here.”

“Had to get 2 different colors of paint. They exactly matched both colors on the spot. Also picked up some supplies for painting. The service was friendly and extremely professional.The store is so huge, it did take a bit to find the paint section. From what I could tell this place has it all, and not in a big box store way.P. S. The prices were very reasonable.”

“Lowe's tends to have more in stock than the Home Depot nearby. At least the household things we need. They're very helpful in the store, but we usually do store pickup. Occasionally, we do curbside pickup for heavy items like 10 - 40lb bags of salt for our water softener. Our order is quickly ready for pickup and someone brings it over and loads it into the car within minutes. I would have a hard time doing this on my own, so it's amazing that they provide curbside for heavy and bulky items. At some point I won't even check Home Depot, because they rarely have what I need. In my experience, Lowe's tends to have more options, but they also tend to be a bit pricier.”

“I love this Home Depot, I've never had any issues here (unlike Stamford's location). I will say, the layout in Stamford is better and easier to navigate. However, we were able to find what we needed and were even assisted with help (because climbing on shelves is frowned upon). This location is clean and well stocked and the employees are friendly and helpful.”

“My first trip here was to get a sled for my daughter due to an upcoming storm. I was incredibly delighted I stopped by Hemlock Hardware. I found the sleds within a second, but walked around for about 15 minutes amazed at their inventory. I told my wife and she went in, on another occasion, and was equally delighted and excited to have this store in our town. The store employees were incredibly friendly and helpful; content to let us wonder, but quick to answer and show us anything we might be looking for. On our third trip, together this time, we signed up for the loyalty card, as we will definitely be back!”
“Today I had the pleasure of meeting a great employee in the appliance department, his name is Hollywood.
I have to say he went above and beyond helping us find the correct appliance , also a workbench that wasn't even part of his department.
The knowledge he provided on top of his great attitude and professionalism makes me want to look for him next time I need anything from Home Depot.
This guy deserves to be recognized, he's truly out there doing his best to help the customer in any way possible.

“I just moved to a new home and I had to make quite a few purchases, out of which some, inevitably, ended up being returned. The process of either buying or returning was made easy by the employees that I dealt with. I should mention Shane, first of all, because he helped me with both, on various occasions. He's always polite, friendly and helpful. Martin is also worth mentioning, because he, too, assisted me multiple times with questions or with finding items. He's always around, always with a smile and a positive demeanor. And, when something was not his specialty, he didn't hesitate to call for backup. Jerry (or Gerry) is another employee that did make an effort when I looked for a specific product (a specific cabinet hinge); he was patient and courteous. Lastly, and pardon me if the name is misspelled, the girls in the window treatment section, Dharvu or something like that (Indian name) was really awesome, too. I had quite a few questions, so I must have been annoying, but she was a sweetheart through and through. She guided me to the best of her ability, she explained things, and she did everything she could to help me. These employees have stood out for me for these last two weeks and they have made the stress of moving more bearable, because now I know I have someone to go to when things get tricky.”
