“If your looking for a truthful review about Governor’s Auto Body please read!
I have been in multiple accidents over the years in my little civic. Most recently I was rear ended. Many people like myself have had absolute terrible experiences with OTHER local body shops (all with over 4 stars). After a previous repair job went terribly wrong I was very worried about using an insurance recommended body shop. I found Governor’s auto body through the estimation process which for my insurance had to be done with a preferred provider no matter who is doing the repair.
It is here that I met Carl. I expressed my fear with using non Honda dealerships and how my last repair went wrong. As we talked and he did the estimate he was super professional and was extremely transparent. He walked me though all the damage and all the places where he suspected hidden damage. He even told me how to handle the insurance issue with the dealership since they are not a preferred shop. He took the time to get all the information and take photos and even showed me the 3D model of my car and how he was plugging in the damage to generate the estimate. I was able to ask questions about the damage and we ended up talking a little bit about my cars design. (I’m an engineer it’s what we do) I left estimate in hand and knew immediately I was going to use this shop.
Carl was fully transparent on the time line and when I dropped my car off I got updates on the damage and the repair process every few days. When it was ready, we went through all the repairs and I got to see photos of the repair in progress. (I would like to note that they only work on a few cars at a time. They don’t squeeze cars in and rush cars unlike other places). I took time looking over my car and all the panels and clips, and let me tell you it was solid. This was the first time I have EVER gotten my car back from a repair and not found an issue with it (even at dealerships). I even got to meet the guy to did the majority of the work.
Overall I can’t recommend this shop enough. Not only did I get listened to (most shops talk down to me) but the repair got done to my expectations.
It has been a few months since the repair and I have included before and after photos. Don’t mind the dirty car.

“When I first purchased my vehicle from Mike and Tony’s, I had a great experience. The staff was friendly, and I left feeling confident in my purchase. Unfortunately, a few challenges have come up since then.
Within six months, the car has experienced two breakdowns and is now in need of a new engine. It’s been at the service center for over a month, and I’ve been in contact with Sims (the service manager) and Tony as they continue to review the situation.
While it’s been a frustrating experience being without my vehicle, I’m hopeful that the dealership will stand behind their customer service values and help find a fair resolution.”

“Above and beyond service! My check engine light came on before work this morning, they were able to fit me in today AND drove me to work! Got everything fixed up, good communication, and I picked my car up after work. They even filled the air in my tires (not part of the original issue). Super happy and will be using them again for future issues as needed.”

“Had a piece of metal which sliced my tire and dropped it off there on a Saturday to get a new tire installed. Got called that it was ready the next Monday. 5 stars for quick service. 1 star for when I got the bike, the person who rode it out of the shop for me pointed out that the mechanic who did it scratched the crap out of my muffler! Going back tomorrow to talk to the owner since he was apparently out when I went to pick up the bike. Will edit review once I get it worked out because otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Everyone was very friendly.
Edit: Brought my bike back to the shop and the got it taken care of free of charge! They even offered to replace my muffler but I told them I just wanted the paint touched up to prevent rust. Will definitely go back there for service in the future.”
“They are now considered my go-to mechanics. Always honest, and if they can't do it, they'll point me to the right place. Honesty is huge when it comes to vehicle maintenance. They could of taken my money and wasted my time on numerous occasions. Honesty goes a long way.”

I was quoted twice the amount for a battery at the dealership than what they quoted . “A pleasure to do business with despite the unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances that occurred to my vehicle’s alternator.
The call rep was a pleasant man and understood urgency and got right to business with me; this was really appreciated. I told him where I broke down and where I needed it to be towed. Fast and easy.
I also appreciated the solid price for the job. I tried to negotiate but he was hard to budge. He seemed to know his stuff...
I want to also give a shoutout to the driver of the tow truck Wes. He was very professional and maintained composure even while juggling many things; a true talent. My car was delivered safely.

He recommended a wiring set that was compatible with our car/hitch, removed interior trim panels to install, and troubleshooted along the way. The facility was also easy to get to, big lot and return was easy, and they had packing/moving supplies. Recommend to anyone needing a rental.”

“Chuck was awesome when I had a problem with my rental from Budget. He was supposed to help me with a tow and instead got the folks at Budget to bring me a new vehicle!!
