“I visited River Bend bookstore for the first time while passing through on Valentine’s Day. It is a very small store but was such a fun experience. The store itself is clean and bright and the staff all courteous and friendly. They had a fun little game of valentines tic tac toe for patrons to play that coincided with books in the store and you personally. I completed the game and got a prize for participating. There aren’t a ton of books in the store but a nice selection, plus a whole little room dedicated to kids books. I purchased a few things, a book for myself and another for a gift. I highly recommend this bookstore if you are in town.”
“I love my local Barnes and Noble. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing, it's a clean, neat, and orderly store and I never have problems finding what I need. It's also very convenient to use the 'pick up in store' feature from the website. I usually have no problems with items not being in stock.”
“Best bookstore ever! My best friend and I went into the store this morning with the intention of buying secret books for one another. Keon and Emily helped us both out and listened as we described each other’s favorite genres and tropes. They helped us pick out multiple options and we ended up buying almost all of them! They wrapped them up to make it like “blind date with a book!” It was so much fun and we can’t wait to go back and do this again! Such an unexpected adventure for a Sunday morning!”
“This was a great experience, and I wish they would reopen Barnes & Noble again in Dallas, Texas. I was back in Connecticut visiting when I went to this store. It was like stepping back in time. The whole atmosphere was still comfortable and inviting. I found a gift for my Mom, and didn't want to leave. I felt like I was a little kid again back in Bloomfield, CT. Next time I'm hitting the bakery!!?”

“The store is closing and moving to new location so great sales on everything. Found a Blu-ray I’ve been looking at great price! Looking forward to seeing the new spot at Westfarms Mall”
“2-3 months ago, I visited this Barnes and Nobles with my friends to start a book club. We were indecisive on whether we would want to do horror, mystery or science fiction. The worker helped us so much, and introduced us to a book (The Fifth Season by N. K. Jemisin). His summary of the book was amazing and hooked us to buying it. I hope the worker knows how grateful I am because this book was AMAZING (and this is coming from someone who mostly reads romance)lol! Def will come back to ask for more recommendations, these workers are awesome and know their stuff!”
“Extremely grateful for the staff here. Spent all day yesterday looking for cards which people have been clearing to resell. Finally found them available at this store and they had limits which ensures there are plenty to go around. Thanks so much!”
“Matthew did something small but amazing - I called and said I wouldn’t be able to make it by 4 p.m. to pick up my order. I was in town visiting and had a tight window. He said he’d come outside and hand me my order, and sure enough when I showed up he did. He could have very easily just been like “Sorry bro”. Thank you and I applaud the positive attitude!”
“The owner is a sweetheart and a fair businesswoman. The store is organized and clean. Good vibes. She is very knowledgeable about the products. Prices are reasonable as well.”
“We love Barnes and Noble and College book stores. This one was no exception. Very large selection of textbooks. Nicely laid out, not large compared to other Barnes and Nobles, but still a very nice selection of books.”
“I'm an employee for Chartwells at Trinity College and i cook in Mather Hall.Trinity Book Store has top of the line clothing for men&women whatever your sports team is so they get 5 stars from me”
“Not only a larger selection of fiction than most airport bookstores, including lots of NY Times bestsellers, this bookstore has an interesting selection of paperback staff picks, including older titles.”
“I love this store! Although it can't be officially classed as wheelchair accessible, both manual and electric wheelchair users can phone the store in advance and arrange to enter via the delivery bay at the rear of the store. The local council has been refusing to allow the owners to build a ramp at the front entrance! If you're a wheelchair user and love rocks, minerals, books, clothing, and other metaphysical & spiritual items, don't let the alternative entrance put you off. The prices are excellent, and I've been in dozens of metaphysical stores from Nova Scotia to Central Florida. The range of rocks/crystals and minerals is vast, and their quality is great. There are items priced from $1 to thousands of dollars, so there's something for everyone. The store has several sections, so make sure to have a good look around. All of the members of staff are friendly, helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. Any time my husband and I are passing through Connecticut, we make time to visit this fantastic store. We live in Nova Scotia, but it's well worth the journey as a side-trip on our summer vacations. Shout-out to Sonja & Ed for their magical store and wonderful welcome 💖.
*My photos from inside the store are over a year old because I got a bit distracted by all the beautiful crystals!”
