Frager's Hardware is a long-standing Ace Hardware store on Capitol Hill, first opened in 1920. It is a great store with a hardware and paint section loaded with home improvement essentials and useful goods for house development, though it may not have a complete or specialty collection. The store boasts an outstanding outdoor garden center and an adorable boutique indoor plant shop. The staff is consistently friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely helpful, providing great and personalized service that makes every visit a positive one. While slightly more expensive than big box stores, it services the community well and is a very nice, accessible, and amazing go-to place for household stuff. It offers curbside pickup and is located in the Navy Yard neighborhood.
