They made the experience of designing wedding bands both enjoyable and informative. They warmly greeted us by name during each appointment, answered questions we had and never pressured us to purchase or tried to "upsell" us. They also seek customer satisfaction and gave an honest breakdown of all costs, working within our budget. The quality of their materials and craftsmanship is top-rate (please see the attached photo) and offers an excellent value. Work is done on the premises and custom jewelry modifications were provided free of charge. Additionally, they are trained in watch-repair and worked on a wristwatch, providing a new battery and band. While we considered a number of jewelers in the DC area, we will be glad to return to Town Jewelers in the future. I went in with one of my watches thinking I needed to replace the battery only to find out the watch doesn't have a battery but it's based on wear for function, imagine that. They did place new battery in one of my watches and they were able to size my new coach watch! They were super quick I was in and out in about 20 minutes. “I had a very specific, nontraditional design in mind for my engagement ring, that I knew would have to be custom made. To ensure I got a ring I loved, my fiancé and I opted to go through the engagement ring shopping process together. Neither one of us had any experience with Jewelers, engagement rings, diamonds, or custom jewelry, but lucky for us, a friend of ours suggested we go see Dino at MSD. BEST RECOMMENDATION EVER! The experience was so overwhelmingly positive and easy. During our first appointment with Dino, I explained the design I wanted, which was based on a custom ring my mom had designed by a jeweler years ago with a few minor tweaks. Dino took his time to listen to what I wanted, look at my mom's ring, ask us a few questions, and gave us some valuable insight on a few things. He did all of this without pressure or judgment. He also asked my fiancé about his budget, because he wanted to make sure the ring he designed stayed in budget, which it did. Two weeks later we went in to see the wax mold, 3D CAD image, and the diamond..... we ended up pulling the trigger right there on the spot. I'm not one to rush into large purchases without some due diligence - so when we first started the ring shopping process, we had planned on shopping around before making a decision but Dino was our first stop and after seeing the CAD image of the ring he designed for us (exceeded all my expectations - it was love at first sight - which, for me, is rare - just ask my fiancé ). Just like that, I had no interest in shopping around. Over the course of the next three weeks, practicing patience was very difficult for me, I had gotten a glimpse of my engagement ring, and I was SO READY to have it on my finger. Before I knew it, the wait was over, and it was so worth the wait. There are no words to express just how amazing our experience was. From start to finish, Dino and his team are exceptional. There is no question, they know what they are doing, they do it well, and they clearly care about their work and their customers. Thank you, Dino and MSD!”

I contacted Mia Gemma and Irene helped me find a beautiful and unique pair of earrings that was just right for their dresses, their taste, and the aesthetic of the wedding. Everyone loved them. Irene was so understanding of my last minute time frame and rushed the order. She arranged for me to pick them up at the nearby home of a Mia Gemma colleague (Lynn) who wrapped them beautifully and even gave me a card and small gift to celebrate our wedding. “This store is the most consistently innovative jewelry store in all of the metropolitan area since it's opening. The jewelry is outstandingly varied and is priced from very high to very affordable. Do not forget to look in all the drawers -- great fun and full of treasures. The staff is fully knowledgeable about the jewelry and the jewelers. “This was my second time visiting The Phoenix. Very cute shop with a unique inventory. I was able to find a cute gift for my brother. I do agree with other reviews, the employees watch you as a hawk, but I just ignore them. The cashier was very nice and even offered to pack the gift, free of charge! I will the wrapping paper would have been Christmas colors instead of a bright yellow. Most items are on the expensive side. Still, I'll be returning... probably for Mother's Day.”

We came in a few times last year as we shopped around for engagement/wedding rings and he remembered us, helped us quickly, and had excellent taste in pairing us with the right rings. Pete seemed to be the most proficient and knowledgable jeweler I'd ever worked with. Our rings were ready to pick up very quickly after our order, even during the busy holiday season. Customer service was excellent throughout, when visiting and speaking with them over the phone. The fact that I remember this and am posting a year later should be a testiment to how this business stood out to me. Would highly recommend!”

“Mr. Compton has done a suberb job of maintaining my red -gold -faced 1944 Bulova watch, including after I accidentally went swimming with it on. As soon as I realized that I took it off amd hightailed it to Mr. Compton, a true craftsman. I beleve it's one of his nephews has a shop in Bethesda where I get my German box clock serviced. This is a family of superb clocksmiths, a tradition that is disappearing and one that I have cherished for 40 years.”

The customer service at this location is exceptional and meets above all expectations! I came here on Christmas Eve looking for a special gift and the experience was nothing but exceptional. I called in advance for an item I was looking for and spoke with Maurice. From the minute I spoke with him to actually visiting the store, Maurice was the best. He was welcoming and very knowledgeable. Also, what I like most was that although the store was very busy, he was patient, helpful and very attentive. He knows the DY collections and is top notch. Overall, a great experience and left very happy with my splurge. Although the gift was for someone else, I fought hard with my inner self to resist buying something for myself. That's the hard part when coming to indulge in a store like this. lol. From the greetings at the door, to the water and libation offerings, to the store manager (Steve) coming by to great me and engage conversation on a limited collection exclusive to the store as well....this was the ultimate buying experience. The prices are top dollar.... but you get what you pay for here..... and that's quality, timeless, crafted pieces of unique jewelry that not only makes a statement, but stands out on his own.
