“I am happy to recommend Town Jewelers as an exceptional custom jeweler. Ali and Hamid, father and son, are highly trained professionals, and approachable and sincere. They made the experience of designing wedding bands both enjoyable and informative. They warmly greeted us by name during each appointment, answered questions we had and never pressured us to purchase or tried to "upsell" us. They also seek customer satisfaction and gave an honest breakdown of all costs, working within our budget. The quality of their materials and craftsmanship is top-rate (please see the attached photo) and offers an excellent value. Work is done on the premises and custom jewelry modifications were provided free of charge. Additionally, they are trained in watch-repair and worked on a wristwatch, providing a new battery and band. While we considered a number of jewelers in the DC area, we will be glad to return to Town Jewelers in the future. The boutique has beautiful high quality lingerie and clothing from around the world and you get real one-on-one helpful and knowledgeable shopping advice and care. Maryam is friendly, funny and has expert advice. She put my purchases in sturdy little cloth bags to protect the fine materials and offered me water to drink. I felt like I was at home with a friend. “This was my second time visiting The Phoenix. Very cute shop with a unique inventory. I was able to find a cute gift for my brother. I do agree with other reviews, the employees watch you as a hawk, but I just ignore them. The cashier was very nice and even offered to pack the gift, free of charge! I will the wrapping paper would have been Christmas colors instead of a bright yellow. Most items are on the expensive side. Still, I'll be returning... probably for Mother's Day.”

“If you're looking for a fantastic tailor, unique, beautiful clothing pieces, or gorgeous shoes, Everard's is 100% the place to be. I had an $800, fully sequined, jumpsuit tailored at Everard's Clothing. I thought this would take at least 3 days to alter. They called the next day to let me know it was ready. It fits like a glove and looks absolutely perfect! I'm from the deep south and since moving to DC (almost 4 years ago), I have rarely experienced such kindness and hospitality as what Everard's Clothing has shown me. “Shopping for heavy clothes and timeless classic wool jackets in August was a bit unexpected given the sauna like heat of DC. That said this place is a gem. I originally looked online for some clothes but strongly recommend going in person as the clothing cuts vary from the sizes I normally take. Love the heavy duty look and feel of sturdy button fly supply pants and the zippered fly field cargo pants. The red wool Mackinaw jacket shirt in XL was so large in the chest and sleeves...I think two people could fit inside. Yet the xl service shirts fit me true to size. Anyway thank goodness for Nick in the DC location. He was very familiar with the generous jacket cuts and made finding the right size and processing a return stress free. I took a medium in the wool jacket btw. If you are someone obsessed with old school durability and quality in your fall and winter clothes...you must check this place out. I will definitely be back to pick up a pair of unwashed hard jeans which caught my eye when it gets a bit cooler. They are super stiff and look great with a cuff.”

I needed a good pair of jeans (which is so hard to find today) and she worked really gave me the help I needed. This includes going through the different styles and sizes to help me find a great pair of jeans!! I tried on so many styles and she was honest about which were the best for me and what I felt most comfortable in. The jeans I got are amazing. Even my coworkers commented on how good these jeans look on me. They are good quality and good everyday jeans. I recommend going here and having Maisy help you.”

“I love coming to barre at the DuPont studio and can’t recommend it highly enough. The classes are challenging (there are multiple formats) but inclusive of people of all ages and fitness levels. When I first started barre, I didn’t anticipate big changes in my body because the motions are low-impact, but when I go to classes consistently (3x a week) I notice muscle definition, better posture, a smaller waistline, and even better sleep. (And that’s not just my opinion - other people noticed too!) I know there’s no such thing as a quick fix in fitness but after a month of barre I felt so much stronger and more confident in my body. I owe so much of that to the kind and helpful instructors, who are supportive and encouraging while offering correction. I love this studio!!”
