“I've had the pleasure of finding this place because of my job site nearby. Two things that stand out. 1. They have items from other locals in the area. I love that about them. 2. The homemade items from Dawn are the bomb! I'll travel back just to grab items in the future to support them and share their greatness.”

“I have been shopping at Hocker's grocery and hardware stores for about 35 years. Gerald Hocker is an amazing business man. His stores are very clean and his employees are fantastic people. I will not buy meat at any other store, Hocker's is the best.
Today, I checked out with Michelle. She is an absolutely fantastic professional. She is very bright and most efficient. Michelle is the best employee ever. She is very quick in checking you out. She is always as kind and pleasant as she can be.
I hope that management recognizes Michelle for the valuable, dedicated employee that she is.”
“Great prices and decent selection. Only downfall is you have to bag your own stuff out of a cart. I shopped at one in Florida and they bagged them for you whether you had your own bags or not. They also sold you bags in Florida. Overall, still a good deal.”

In this location now for the first time. Extraordinary! Approachable without hovering. Their organization makes sense. So, you probably won't need to ask for help. CLEAN! Hospital clean. We had trouble finding chia seeds - they helped the way we like to be helped.
Amy checked us out at guest services. Highly recommend. I'm sure the others are great as well, but look for her. Warm, mellow, affable and reads people well. My husband is chatty, and I'm very not. She effortlessly managed us both. Speedy to get keep her line moving without us realizing it. She is a star!!!

“One of the top supermarkets in the area. Shelves are clean, organized, and well stocked. Fruit is fresh and reasonably priced. Nice selection of freshly baked products. Plenty of prepared food choices. Deli / appetizer area had many fresh deli meats to choose from. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food shopping at Giant was an enjoyable experience.”
“I've only been here to buy ice cream but the store was well stocked in all departments as I walked through. The produce looked really fresh and tons of items were on sale.
I noticed management were leading by example and working on the floor with their staff. As a business person myself I subscribe to this way of working as a team.”
“The only place I know of that has the Turkish yogurt drink, Ayran. I love the stuff. Also, my favorite feta cheese, Valbresso brand sheep's milk feta. It's so much better than Athenos or Persidente. The store also has all sorts of Middle Eastern food items, including Turkish delight candy and dates. Greek dolmas, etc.”

Half the isles are in the middle of being reorganized with masses of random items clogging walkable areas. And as always, it could be a little cleaner.
I believe there should be a DG every 15 miles, as they act as a psuedo-grocery / corner store that has low prices and late hours, perfect for those of us visiting the Delaware beaches ?️”

“Not overly crowded like Giant or Acme. Same products as Acme as they're owned by the same company. I find it to be a much more pleasant shopping experience than the previously mentioned stores.”
“This place is a great place to experience its close to the Holly Lake campsites and has many things you could enjoy if you want to camp at Holly Lake not sure the place looks very similar to Food Lion but I know it used to be Food Lion because you’re produce area the lights hanging on the ceiling are the old Food Lion lights it gets a classic feel now this isn’t busy but a great place to get groceries even when you are camping.”

“I stack up ? on fresh salads such as Cobb, Chef and Chicken w Berries every week- where else can you get a good, fresh, well crafted salad big enough for 2 for $6 or less? My guilty pleasure is the cold table- which is AWAYS FULL OF AMAZING HOMEMADE SWEET TREATS- cakes, pies, parfaits, cherry and strawberry cheese and dirt pudding- not to mention pasta, potatoe, eggs and Mac salads, fresh sandwiches and wraps / the ot bar speaks to you from the moment the outer door opens- with yummy smells dancing up your nostrils teasingly wearing down any diet willpower you pulled into the parking lot with. And DO NOT get me started on the hand dipped ice cream- The cooler counter is over half of the width of the entire store!! I don’t think I’ve seen so many flavors since I was about age 5 and my local scoop shop offered up 51 flavors! I could never decide which one I wanted more..,, and still can’t today!”

Quite often they feature sales or specials which are a bonus paired with the great customer services I always receive.I don't mind paying a few cents more when a place if staffed with adequate and friendly people.”

“This place has everything and anything you could need on vacation. If you forgot it, the market probably has it. It’s so convenient not having to get on the highway and waste an hour getting up to Walmart or other stores in the summer with beach traffic. Sammy takes great pride in his store. He thinks of anything you could need and keeps it stocked. The store is always clean and well organized. The attention to detail with the staff is great. They’re super friendly, and personable. They always ask me about my day, how I’m doing, and remember our conversations the next time I come in. They make you feel so welcomed that sometimes I like going into the market to buy a soda or some candy just to say hi.”
