“We have traveled a great deal with a love of authentic Mexican food and a bit nuanced with my wife’s professional experience in authentic Mexican cooking. It would be an understatement that this place is the best food we have ever had. It has actually been a journey of mine in our travels to seek out the best, or a comparable, torta and I have yet to find something that doesn’t just invoke the thought of “this just isn’t El Gran Charro.” We come here often with our kids and have never had a bad experience (perhaps 30-40 times? Maybe more.). The food is incredibly consistent, always amazing, and the staff (a wonderful family) are always great. We are kosher, and have only mentioned it in passing, and they are conscious of it and mention it. This is a small and insignificant detail to most but to us it demonstrates a thoughtful, caring, and “good” place. I promise you, at least on the East Coast to my knowledge, you will not find a better torta, or for that matter much of anything they make. El Gran Charro essentially “sets the standard” and while standards, recipes, and methods are different—as well as tastebuds—to many, in my experience nowhere compares to this. Do not expect some fancy atmosphere like Agave in Lewes/Rehoboth but do expect remarkably better food for significantly less money. “Tex-mex” has its ingrediential (to coin a term) benefits but “the real deal” is always the real deal. An addition: I have done take out here and they have meticulously wrapped everything to keep the food hot. One small detail amongst any which demonstrate the quality of service and food. Though “a hole in the wall,” this is one of those places you have to go to. It is well worth the trip from the beaches area.”

I love discovering great restaurants and dairy stores, and I can confidently say that this place is absolutely amazing. Every time I visit, I am impressed by the cleanliness, the professionalism of the staff and owner, and, most importantly, the incredible quality of the food.
I travel frequently—from Boston to Florida, through Philadelphia, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts—and yet, no place compares to this hidden gem. Whether I’m on my way to church or heading to my beach house, this is always a must-stop for me.
Unmatched Quality and Freshness
Their Italian hoagies are simply the best. From the freshly baked bread to the perfectly sliced meats, cheeses, and toppings, every bite is packed with flavor. I always customize mine with extra mushrooms, hot peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, and the freshness makes all the difference.
But that’s not all—their cheesesteaks are on another level. While Philadelphia is famous for its cheesesteaks, I can confidently say that this place does it even better. Every sandwich is packed with generous portions of meat and cheese, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor.
A Dining Experience Like No Other
What makes this place stand out isn’t just the food—it’s the whole experience. Everything is made by hand, fresh, and with care. The portions are generous, the prices are extremely reasonable, and the customer service is top-notch. Each visit leaves me with a smile, knowing I’ll always come back.
I’ve dined at high-end Italian restaurants and top seafood spots in Bethany Beach and Ocean City, Maryland, but nothing compares to the taste and quality of the food here. From hoagies to cheesesteaks to chicken dishes—every item is made to perfection.
A Must-Visit Destination
If you ever find yourself passing through Delaware, do yourself a favor and stop at this place. I would rate it 100 out of 10—the best on the East Coast. This is truly a hidden gem, a place so special that I consider it a diamond among stones.

“Wow! I received top tier service in Food lion yesterday and I just want to say thanks guys! I have a 14 month old baby and it was a little stressful yesterday because I dropped the snack he was eating and he started getting a little fussy. When we came up upon the deli to get in line, everything changed! He was sooo very happy to be greeted by the line of happy customers …they were waving at him and smiling and saying hi. It didn’t take long to see that everyone was so happy and in a good mood and cheerful because of the man behind the counter! I don’t know his name, but he was so happy….his joy was infectious. He gave us a sample of the lunch meat we bought and I was able to let my baby munch on that and finish my shopping. Thank you so much for making my shopping trip better!”
“We do the pick up . On the most part the employees most of the are friendly. We don't always get a good shopper to pick out our groceries. Seems like the day the sales start they never have what we order and a more expensive item is chosen
Also the shopper needs to be taught how to pick out 3or4 one and a half pound steaks. It seems too difficult for them. We usually always get 1 steak weighing 2 pounds for 3/ 4 people.”

“Aldi's is the greatest addition Milford has received in a minute. They're like a German Trader Joe's which in my book is a tremendous achievement. They have decent sales, good produce, and they change up their ethnic specialty foods often. They also have one of a kind items that no other place has like Spinach and Feta Strudels and Apple and Berry Strudels.
The employees there are always helpful which nowadays is a HUGE plus. Milford is lucky to have it's new German Joe. ;)”
“I love Food Lion , they have a variety of brands that other stores just don't carry . They have weekly MVP savings & also online coupons you can clip to save even more money on your grocery order . Also , they offer a rewards program within the app called "Shop & Earn" that gives you cash back towards your next purchase for merely shopping the items you normally would ... Again , I love Food Lion ! Lol”

“A great place for a sandwich and a drink, I had the cheese steak with everything, fries and a can of soda for the price of a fast food meal and it was way better.Flavor wise it is one of the best I've had in while.Myers is a small convenience store catering to Hispanic needs. They also serve hot and cold foods made to order and lunch meats.To our "American eyes" we may say it's disorganized and a dirty but it really isn't.They carry a lot of product in a confined space. Don't let cultural differences keep you away, Myers is worth stopping and enjoying.”
“Since they remodeled the inside it's easier to find things it doesn't feel cramped or over flowing as it useded to and they carry more then they useded to. Good luck finding more then 1 cashier there, that's on shift, so any questions the cashier can only point you in the right direction to find something.”
“Store looked well stocked, clean floors making it easy to navigate the isles. Employees very friendly, always making sure they assist even when they are in middle of doing tasks.
Biggest and last impression that was made during my visit was.... the cashier... so friendly, making sure you don't need any more assistance and the check out process and time was very quick, accurate and made sure he's wanted me to have a good day, which warns my heart.
I go there for small things needed right away and I have absolutely no issues.... just an amazing store along with the employees”

PLUS…. why doesn’t this store have the typical Walmart small baskets that are hand held for those who only need a few items??? The big carts aren’t always necessary!!!”
