“I frequent this hobby/train store for literally everything. Nice amount of military model kits in most scales, with good paint and glue selection. They have a great rolling stock selection, with good deals if you buy a few train cars at once. Nice selection of locomotives. (My layout is HO scale so that's all I really notice.) The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk with for hobbyists of any level. This is a great small hobby/train shop.”

“The advent of online shopping is slowly killing the small store, so to find one still in operation is such a rarity and a real blast of nostalgia for people within a certain age bracket. The owner tries to open up by 12:00 most days and having reached a venerable age serving the model enthusiasts of his community has certainly earned the right to this eccentricity. For a relatively small property there is a good stock to browse through. Being a tourist from the UK I can hardly become a regular customer, but I can at least urge any model makers in the Chadds Ford ,Pa area to pay a visit, chat with the owner for a while and buy a few items however small. One day soon we will no longer be able just go look for something interesting and talk with someone of such experience.”
“Of course it's around Christmas time so stores suffer in appearance and staff available. So inwill not complain abt it. Michael's had what I needed and couldn't find anywhere else. Unfortunately the price was higher her than where I initially went but the advantage was Michael's having it in stock. Do you have price match? That would be nice”

“I purchased a new machine online. Picked it up in store. The associate was very friendly. We go home later in the evening so I didn’t get a chance to set it up until late the following day. After setting it up I noticed it was making a load noise. So I processed to use it thinking it was just something silly. Nope! The thread would bunch in the bobbin and the wheel not turn. I called the store & Erica whom later let me know she was the manger was so kind and took care of the situation right out. I’m so very grateful as I needed to finish a project for a client overnight. My husband took the machine back right away. She was professional very helpful and really I life saver. The new machine is working fine.”

“HRO in general is awesome. And Harry was the man at New Castle. He was always polite always welcoming and so so helpful. He had to leave for a personal issue and since then I have been dealing with random sales people all of them seem very smart. Sometimes a bit awkward asking a question because they don't seem very receptive to questions and not very enthusiastic. Maybe I got spoiled with Harry. If I can give one piece of advice : bring Enthusiasm into your client interactions. Everything else will fall into place.”
