“I am very grateful for and to the staff at First Coast Veterinary Specialists & Emergency! The receptionist, Kia( spelling?), the tech, Cole, and the doctor, Nick Vukich are the best!!! My Roody came down with a serious condition after being in town less than 14 hours. I brought him in and was immediately being taken care of in the best warm, and caring welcome. The tech filled our room with same attributes! So caring, so patient , and made me feel at ease. The doctor continued the same comforting and caring service! I cannot express enough how wonderful this place is!

“This has been one of the best vets I have ever gone to period. One of the sweetest, compassionate and hard working teams I have ever met. My girl Pandora had the starting of an infection in her uterus, as a young woman in her 20s I was horrified she was my first kitten I found at 2-3 weeks old eyes still blue, I hand fed her milk. The way these people reassured me and truly guided me through the process was nothing short of the work of angels. I cannot thank them enough ever. I will never go anywhere else for my little furry family. I have 1 dog, 3 cats that will go here. Thank you Team and Doctor SO MUCH! (Seeing a woman really running a tight yet supportive ship like that was so inspiring.) Someone even put a little heart above the “I” in our last name. 🥹 you’re seen and know I cried my eyes out in appreciation. She came home so calm.”

“I found a very friendly dog running loose in our neighborhood and brought him in to see if he had a microchip. Jessie at the front desk was absolutely amazing. The dog did have a chip but unfortunately no owner info registered to it. Jessie didn't stop there. She was incredibly patient and caring as she continued to help me figure out how to get this sweet dog back to his family. She went above and beyond calling the microchip company until they were eventually able to locate the owner. It turned out the family had just moved to the area and had been searching for him for over an hour. Thanks to Jessie's persistence and genuine concern, he was reunited with his family. I'm so grateful for her help and kindness. Animal Care of Ponte Vedra is very lucky to have her.”

“I’ve been bringing my pets to this practice for 11 years, and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Kantimahanthi and the entire staff. Dr. Kantimahanthi is genuinely one of the best veterinarians, and in my opinion, this is the best vet practice in town.
We recently had to say goodbye to our 11-year-old English Bulldog, Barkley, which was incredibly difficult. I’m so grateful for the care, compassion, and attention he received here throughout the years, especially during the difficult moments toward the end.

“I cannot recommend them highly enough. As a pet parent who manages complex medical needs for multiple animals, I have high standards for clinical care- and this team exceeded every single one a thousand times over.
I am new to the area, and brought in my senior guinea pig for what I hoped was just some bloodwork and a thyroid issue. Unfortunately, during the exam they found a mass. Immediately other vets were brought in, second opinions shared, all the tests she needed were done the same day, and we walked out with a diagnosis and a surgical plan. What was supposed to be a short visit stretched well past their time limit, but they were so unbelievably kind and worked me into their very busy schedules. They also had such a patient, wonderful vet tech who sat with me the whole time, answered questions, and kept a very dark moment light enough for me to hold it together. These women (who had never met me) sacrificed their time and energy to not only understand what my baby was going through, but ensured I walked out with that diagnosis and a plan. I had a million questions, but they answered every single one- even well after hours.
We are currently in the critical window leading up to her surgery, and the peace of mind I have knowing she is in their hands is a testament to their skill. It is rare to find a team that combines elite medical expertise with such selfless, genuine heart. To the vet tech and the vets who were so thorough, and stayed late to build our plan: thank you for treating my baby like she was your own.

“We absolutely love VCA as our primary vet. Everyone is very friendly and take great care of our dog (who is a frequent flyer because he has no sense of self-preservation.) Dr. Darnell has always gone above and beyond, explaining the science in a way we understand - even drawing a graph of Parvo immunity when discussing immunization efficacy! She has also texted us multiple times to follow-up after a visit.We had one issue where our puppy needed to go to an emergency vet after a seizure, and as soon as Dr. Darnell found out from the emergency vet requesting medical records, she reached out to us to make sure everything was okay and asking if there was anything they could do. They've been an invaluable part of our puppy's life and we would recommend them to anyone!”
