“Gerry is the best, a diamond in the rough for Lakeland decorators. I have worked with several decorators in this area, and Gerry has proven time and time again to be the most approachable as well as practical decorator I’ve ever worked with. She doesn’t force her opinions or ideas on the client, but rather works with you to develop what your taste and your interest are. I never felt intimidated by her nor felt like she was trying to upsell me on anything. I completely disagree with the review given by the individual regarding the wallpaper situation. I’ve been in Gerry’s studio many times, most professional interior decorators require an appointment, so to just walk in someone’s office and assume that they have time to sit down with you and can give you their full attention is silly. I can tell you she’s completely booked, yet even though her schedule is tight she will always make a way to get me in- you will always feel valued by her as a client. “It's a time old tale- when you walk into a Target, it don't matter what you went in to buy. You could make a strict list and try not to get distracted grabbing anything outside of it, but no matter how hard you try, you WILL leave Target with more than you planned to. We've all been there, still are there, or will be there in the near future. I love me some Target, like most women. It's overall a pretty great store- they have cute and affordable clothes, a ton of home decor/ furniture, usually a good amount of food and produce, pharmacy and more. Going on a random trip to stroll through Target is a fantastic use of an hour or two. This is one of two Targets in Lakeland, and is the south location. It's generally a super nice location, as most Targets are known to be. It's the one I frequent, but I do think the north Lakeland Target is the superior store. This south Target has a really random and small selection of produce, and they just never seem to have the overall stock that the north store does. They are out of random things at random times, so you can almost never conveniently get all you need in one stop if you are doing all your grocery shopping there. Otherwise, this store is awesome. They have a Starbucks, which can be nice if you want a caffeine/ sweet fix. The workers have always been so friendly in my experience, especially Miss Cheryle- she's a star, and deserves some high praise for how sweet she is!”

Bob's Discount Furniture is growing while its competitors shrink. The Manchester, Connecticut-based retailer reported strong fourth-quarter results in its first earnings call since going public in February, with revenue climbing 8.2% to $648.8 million. Full-year net revenue jumped 16.8% to $2.4 billion, and net income rose to $121.7 million from $87.9 million the prior year. CEO Bill Barton told analysts the company plans to open about 20 new stores in 2026 and sees a path to more than 500 locations by 2035, roughly two and a half times its current 209-store footprint across 26 states.
Wayfair is testing a new, smaller store design. The online home furnishings giant, famous for its endless digital catalog, is trying a different strategy for its physical locations. The company announced plans to open a smaller prototype store in Columbus, Ohio, scheduled for late 2026. Located next to the Polaris Fashion Mall, the new space will span approximately 70,000 square feet.
Online furniture giant Wayfair is setting up shop in Atlanta with plans for a huge 150,000-square-foot store opening in 2026. The new location will take over the former Walmart space at The District at Howell Mill shopping center. This marks Wayfair's second big store, following its first location that opened in Wilmette, Illinois, in May 2024.
