The place is nice, but the manager said I couldn’t get my daughter’s birthday bear because it was the month after. But when I went to buy another Bear, the employee told me because I was already registered I could. So I took my daughter to have the whole experience. When I went to pay, they didn’t give the bear for her age price. I understand the rules, but once an employee gives you the permission to do so, you have to honor. No one came to me to say that was a misunderstanding before we started the whole process I paid the full price because I didn’t want to break my 5 year old heart after she kissed the heart, named the bear. That’s very unprofessional and lack of communication. Also no empathy from the manager. Brandon location.

The birthday bear is now a joke. You sign up and go every year to get a bear for your birthday, you pay the amount for how old the child is turning. So, if it's 3rd birthday you pay $3. If they are turning 7, you pay $7. Nice right.....until they decided that you now will recieve the SAME bear every year. Who wants the same bear, literally, the exact SAME bear....what is the point in going anymore???

The Day Our Hearts Found Out First
One of the most beautiful chapters in our journey began the day we found out Tiffany was pregnant. The excitement, the nerves, the dreams—all of it came rushing in at once. We knew we wanted our gender reveal to be something special, something just for us. That’s when we decided on Build-A-Bear.
On November 15th, 2024, we walked into the store, hearts pounding and hands holding tightly. Waiting behind the counter were three incredibly sweet ladies—Gabby, Amelia, and Mel—who immediately lit up when we told them why we were there. Their joy became our joy, and suddenly it felt like the whole store was cheering us on.
We picked out the perfect bear, soft and full of promise. We filled him with love, dreams, and a tiny heartbeat of anticipation. Then came the outfits: a delicate pink dress and sparkly shoes for a girl, and a sharp little tuxedo with Chuck Taylors for a boy. We took photos, laughed nervously, and soaked in the magic of the moment.
With a smile and a few quiet prayers, we handed the envelope with the results to Gabby, Amelia, and Mel—along with a credit card—and stepped outside to wait.
Minutes felt like hours.
Then, all three of them came out together, smiling wide, holding a box wrapped in mystery and meaning. None of us knew what was inside—just that it held a piece of our future.
We didn’t open it right away.
Instead, we carried that little box with us to dinner, letting the suspense build with every bite, every glance, every heartbeat. Later, back home in the quiet of our living room, just the two of us and the bear, we opened the box.
Inside was the tuxedo and the tiny Chuck Taylors.
We were having a boy!
And just like that, the bear had a name, the future had a face, and our hearts grew bigger than we ever thought possible.
Then, on May 12th, 2025, our world changed forever.
Liam came into this world—full of love, joy, and cuddly sleep. In his first days, surrounded by warmth and wonder, he finally got to meet his teddy bear friend. The same one filled with love and sealed with a secret all those months ago.
And now, their journey together begins.

I had an incredibly disappointing customer service experience today. I went to the mall to pick up a bear my son had ordered for his girlfriend, only to be told that it could take 6–8 hours to be ready, and that he would receive an email once it was. I found this a bit puzzling, especially since I was the only customer in the store and there were three employees on the floor. This was at 11:30 AM.
Later in the day—around 5:00 PM—my husband offered to pick it up after work, so I called the store to check the status. I spoke with the same employee, who was just as dismissive as earlier, and was told the order still wasn’t ready. Nearly six hours had passed, and yet no progress had been made.
If you’re considering ordering a bear, I highly recommend going in and making it yourself—it might save you the frustration.

Taylor was great! My boyfriend and I went in to make each other’s Valentine gifts, and he was incredibly kind and helpful. He made the experience fun and memorable, and we love our new plushies!
