“The entire staff is so professional and friendly. Dr. Busciglio was there when I had to put my cat Oscar down due to his kidney disease. He was very special to me since I adopted him after hurricane Katrina in Biloxi. He gave us hope and happiness. There is no one I would trust with my 5 animals than Dr. Busciglio and the Santa Cruz clinic.”
“A great big shout out to everyone at Care Animal Hospital ?.. From Joanna the receptionist (?) to the entire staff for your kindness, since of urgency and Wonderful Care you gave to our baby! We had an emergency and she needed to be seen.. unfortunately our veterinary at the time would not fit her in and seemed to care less and sadly that was not the first time ?… needless to say, we have found a new “home” to take care of our babies moving forward❣️ Highly recommend Care Animal Hospital!!!”
“We have been going to Santa Cruz Animal Hospital for several years now. We love Dr. Stanton and she has given all our babies great care and still does! We first met her and the staff at the hospital when our regular vet was out of town and our 10 yr old girl Sophie (yellow lab / german shepherd mix) stated acting funny at home and became very very bloated. We called several places and Santa Cruz was the only vet clinic who answered and told us to come in. The end result was Sophie's abdomen was twisted and Dr. Stanton did emergency surgery, which saved Sophie's life. We ended up having Sophie for two more years before we lost her to cancer. We credit Dr. Stanton and the staff for this extra years. Since that time our vet retired and we have remained with Dr. Stanton and Santa Cruz. She has seen us through the loss of Sophie, the additions of Jackson, Stella, Emily and now Virgil (all rescues)! She also helped us to say goodbye to Sophie, Jackson and Stella when their time came. I can say she and the staff were compassionate, supportive and understanding during those times. Being honest, I will say they are more expensive than some others, but the care is exceptional. They have always found a way to fit us in when we had a concern or worry and Doc took the time to speak with us by phone when necessary. You can't go wrong with the doctors here.”
“Just had to take my dog here tonight for a broken/inflamed nail and they took such great care of her. Dr. Schimmel and the entire staff was very caring and compassionate. She also took the time to explain what testing would be performed and why it was indicated. I would absolutely recommend taking your animal here if they need emergency care.”

“They are well run & and trained. Compassionate for all animals. Quite expensive making them out of reach for many but when they can find ways to hold costs down they work with you on it. They have been wonderful to my dying dog so I’m very thankful I’m with them just wish a larger number could avail themselves of their services! Dr Coyle is a knowledgeable animal loving oncologist!”
“We brought our pup here when her usual vet cancelled her appointment minutes before her scheduled time. We were traveling out of the country the following day and we had a puppy who needed her stitches removed from her spay and a health certificate that all needed to get done. We were desperate to find a place that could help us last minute. I called banfield explaining our situation and after speaking with the vet, the front desk woman was able to accommodate us last minute. She was so friendly and understanding and her empathy was truly felt. I highly recommend this location to pet owners!”
“The staff is outstanding! They work long hours and still have smiles and offer compassion to my dog. Dr. Olivo is above all other vets in the area by tenfold! She takes time to hear the issues my dog has and determines the right course of action. Abbey had an ear infection that would not go away, and Dr. Olivo worked diligently to get her healed trying new meds and procedures!”
