“A convenient airport to fly in and out of. We have experienced some delays here. It's a smaller airport but only four miles from our summer home. This makes it very convenient. They have a couple of car rental places in the terminal and they are always offering upgrades, which is nice. It's a direct flight from where we live in Rockford Illinois. I like that. There isn't a huge line for security check. They do have a restaurant upstairs but I've rarely seen it open for business. The gift shop is rarely open when I've been there. There was a storm going on last time we were there to pick up a friend and they circled the airport for over an hour waiting to land due to lightning. It was a little frustrating for my friend as well as us however, safety comes first!”

I cannot remember the gentleman’s name but he did an excellent job explaining everything and made renting a car here super easy. He was younger and African American. I hope this helps him get the recognition he deserves.”

“Possibly the nicest car rental experience that i have ever had.
It is truly refreshing to rent a car and not be upsold. The owner explaimed the pros and cons of add-ons such as toll options and actually recommended the cheaper option for my needs.
I know that rental employees are encouraged to upsell but having an experience like this leaves you with the feeling of great service and that they place more value on customer satisfaction and repeat business.
If you need to rent a car in the clearwater area, this location is top notch.”

“Received a car in need of washing and with a maintenance warning inside. When I returned the car right before it was due, I gave the keys to the agent at the Avis/Budget desk since there was no one at the outside lot. She assured me I would receive a credit for the inconvenience, but would have to wait until the next day to put in that change since she was filling in that evening. The next morning I got a receipt showing the car the returned late, with additional fees reflecting that. I tried multiple times to contact the rental desk, but they never answered. I logged a complaint to Budget corporate regarding the rental from this location.
Update--Jared Amos from Budget-Avis resolved this issue within less than one business day and provided a credit for the inconvenience. I would rent from them again, but would make certain that the agent at the desk notes the correct time when the car was returned.”
“Had a truly exceptional experience with Ricardo and Mike.I rented a Lincoln Navagator from Tampa airport ,terrible vehicles no instructions on operating vehicle from facility, dirty windshield just a bad car .Hated the car and also didn't need all the space cause passenger count went dwn We called Ricardo at the Downtown Clearwater and he said vehicles should be arriveing soon and he'd call when they get to lot.1 hr later got the call an head out to exchange the Navagator for Mazda Mike showed us a few vehicles an we picked one .The guys even topped off the wiper fluid for us Thanks Guys great time talking with you”
