The Historic Artisan Downtown Hotel is a beautiful and quaint boutique hotel in a historic building over 100 years old. It is the perfect place to stay, with very comfortable, large, exceptionally clean, and beautifully designed rooms that have bright fresh interior and furniture. The hotel is updated in the right places and maintains historic decor. It offers a great location with excellent walkability to all the downtown DeLand stores, shops, and restaurants. Nearby activities include the whole downtown and it is only a few minutes drive to nearby wedding venues, making it a perfect romantic overnight. The hotel features a lounge with food and drinks, and Chicas Cuban Cuisine restaurant is in the same building. The bar is highly recommended, with great drinks and accommodating service. The personable staff provides warm, friendly service and a pleasant experience. There is security with locked outside doors with key pads. Some minor feedback notes that shower heads need to be cleaned better and communication can sometimes be challenging, but the hotel is highly recommended overall. It is a great place for events, with open mic nights and music on weekends, and guests look forward to returning.
