The man on the phone that I was speaking to was extremely pushy even though I told him that I was at a doctor's appointment and that I would go to the bank myself and he still was being pushy I finally had to hang up. John L. Said that no one should have been that pussy and would definitely tell someone to go to the bank and take care of it if they felt more comfortable. I met Herbie in Ocala and mentioned I was looking for a car loan. He told me he was the manager at a credit union and gave me all the information I needed to buy a car. He helped me through the process, and I was approved and received a loan approval letter.
When I got to the dealership, I ended up financing through an out of state bank because they offered a lower interest rate. I thought Herbie might be upset since he had invested time in helping me, but to my surprise, he was genuinely happy that I got the car I needed. His professionalism, energy, and positive attitude were exactly the same as on day one.
Even though I didn’t finalize the loan with Self-Help, the service Herbie provided was so outstanding that I’ve decided to open a savings account with them. I highly recommend this credit union and make sure you ask for Herbie!”
