“Thanksgiving week. This was our 11th year to spend Thanksgiving week in Fort Walton and rent from Brooks and Shorey. We love Gulf Dunes. Thank you to Maryann who always makes us feel welcome, takes care of any issues and answers all questions. We have already booked through Brooks and Shorey for Mardi Gras weekend. Can’t wait !!!”

“We thought you all had a great property! There were a few things I do want to mention... we had trouble with our hot water not working, but you all handled it well with great hospitality. Especially want to give DJ in room service a HUGE shout out. She was absolutely wonderful and I think she should get a raise, and the Front Desk Manager Kerry Ann was also great with resolution management. As far as the amenities I understand it's the off season, but there was great 70 days and you all should at least be playing your speakers at the pool. I also think you should have your tiki bar open to guests. I understand it's the slower season, but you could do limited days and hours (like Thurs - Sunday from noon to 5p or something like that - you will also attract locals if you did this making more money for your hotel). If you are not going to have the tiki bar open in the off season you need to make it obvious before people book their rooms. People choose their destinations based on these kinds of amenities. Lastly, the kid zone needs some aesthetic love and having music play in there also would be a good idea. Music can be free and changes the mood of an environment. Music attracts people and people linger longer when you have it playing. I do think it was great that you share amenities with the neighboring hotel. Overall, we were satisfied and would recommend your hotel!”

“I was so happy to find Laura at The Remedy bar inside The Beal House hotel. I didn’t know what I wanted to drink , she knew what to recommend and how to make anything . I landed on the Miami vice frozen slushie . I had a blast and even tried a few new favorites.”

“We needed a hotel room late in the middle of the night. This hotel was so nice and accommodating. The staff were friendly even with us checking in the middle of the night. Highly recommend this place. Plus the little kitchenette was adorable.”

“Great stay! It’s the shortest hotel on the okaloosa strip but that helps you find it after a beautiful walk on the beach! Walking distance to many great eats (if you walk the beach)!! My room was clean and taken care of every other day (further services available if requested). The desk service was responsive. Breakfast was tasty!

I didn’t swim in the pool but the beach was my priority. Cookies were a nice afternoon touch! Thanks for a great stay!”

“This place is in a amazing spot and the hotel itself is beautiful. The staff, facilities and food are fantastic. Margo at the front desk is the best front desk person we have ever worked with. She really took great care of us. Thanks Margo and the entire Hilton Garden Inn Ft. Walton staff.”

“Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
This was our first time visiting the Fort Walton/Destin area, and we booked our stay through Expedia. Honestly, I don’t understand why this hotel has a low rating—our experience was nothing short of wonderful.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. There’s a nice outdoor pool and even a pizza restaurant right next door, which was super convenient. One of our favorite features was the small private beach with a dock, beach chairs, and picnic tables. Every evening, we brought our dinner back to the hotel and had a relaxing picnic on the beach while watching the sunset over the water. Our kids absolutely loved it—they said it was their favorite part of the trip! After dinner, they enjoyed playing in the sand and water while we relaxed.

Breakfast was decent, and I want to give a special shoutout to the tall gentleman with glasses (Boris)—he was always helpful and attentive. Christy at the front desk was phenomenal and went out of her way to help us with our late check-in. The new manager (Handon) was just as great during our checkout. Honestly, the entire new staff was incredible—welcoming, friendly, and clearly committed to making our stay enjoyable.

We’re a family of five, and we genuinely appreciated the warm and family-friendly atmosphere. This review is based on our real experience, not just a one-off opinion—and I hope it helps others see the value this place offers.”

Food and drinks: Great breakfast!! Dinner was delicious as well but limited menu options were available.”

“I'm a local UPS driver and run the Island route so I visit every condo/hotel on the island daily! This was our second staycation at the Four Points Sheraton in Fort Walton Beach, and it never disappoints! We celebrated our one-year anniversary in the Gulf Tower—amazing room, amazing view. Great amenities, dog friendly, perfect location to avoid Destin traffic, and the staff is always friendly. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!”

“It's the same price as the other hotels. All but they don't have breakfast and and when I'm in the regions of outdated but I mean, it's okay. They do have smoking rooms. So, you know, if you are a smoker, then I guess that's no impulse. If you're not then I guess doesn't matter, but I've had to stay here for a while. Well, I'm trying to find a place and they don't really have good rates for that. Very expensive, especially not at breakfast but it's alright, open my phone, please soon.”
