Alachua County Animal Resources & Care is a shelter doing its best with limited resources. The facility is very clean for a shelter, with plenty of great dogs to choose from and lots of potential pets to add to a family. The pets have shots and sterilization, and there is great information on their cages. The adoption fees are affordable. The volunteer program is amazing and welcoming. The folks there are so nice and really care about the dogs and volunteers. People have found their fur babies there, with the animals settling well into new homes. While the shelter is often full of unwanted and abandoned pets, the animals are getting fed and taken care of.

Staff was very friendly they did their very best to answer all our questions about the animals we were looking to adopt.
