DoubleTree by Hilton Gainesville offers a generally nice hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and good amenities, including a large shower with hot water and quality toiletries. The property features a swimming pool, two courtyards that serve as a hangout spot, and an on-site bar and restaurant serving breakfast, dinner, and drinks, with the bar food noted as awesome. Its location is considered perfect, with many necessities like Target and Publix within less than a mile. Guest experiences with service and upkeep vary. Many highlight exceptionally kind, warm, and personable service at the front desk, with staff noted for impressive efficiency and a friendly, welcoming demeanor, including the offering of cookies. However, other reviews report seriously lacking, slow, unorganized, and inattentive service, with management responsiveness sometimes disappointing. Cleanliness observations are mixed; while some find things clean, others feel the rooms and common areas are not very clean, with noticeable issues like stained lobby furniture, missing courtyard cushions, and broken chairs. Some maintenance problems, like an aging shower or a beeping noise in rooms, are also mentioned. The hotel provides a stocked coffee station, though some note a lack of in-room microwaves and few towels, with housekeeping only every four days during long stays unless requested. While some noise concerns exist, many guests report a comfortable stay and would stay again, describing it as a decent or okay hotel, particularly for short stays.
Overall solid spot, close to highway. Looks like it was recently updated but still some old features.

Hotel is approaching need for renovations. Arrived @ 11pm. One guy at the desk. Really should have online checkin. Needed a UF location, this was perfect

Pool was dirty, staff was always distracted, my room which faced the.main roads was bombarded with homeless people screaming and making weird noises during near dawn hours, no onsite entertainment.
