“Excellent experience from the start. Natasha was very friendly and efficient at check-in. The room, as with the rest of the hotel was clean, bed was comfortable.... didn't hear much of any outside noise with the fan running . Shower was good though the diverter didn't block completely allowing water to flow directly into the tub. Looks like a descent gym/workout area and the breakfast looked to be very good. Overall good experience at a good value.”
“Beautiful place, with a comfy charm! Attended an event here since my friend was renting the place. Very spacious, 3 floors. Glad they enjoyed their stay, and we all had a great time celebrating a birthday!”

“Kimberly is out working the floor every night I come in at the hotel. She is always pleasant and asking if I need anything. I love her friendly gesture. Thank you so much for the Hospitality!!!!”
“Maybe 4.75 stars rather than 5 due to a lack of plugs of any type on one side of the bed. Otherwise, great staff, very clean, modern rooms. Very quiet. Would have been nice to have a self park option. $25 seemed steep.”
“I just had the most wonderful night staying at this beautiful bed and breakfast. My travel plans went askew and I needed a place to stay very very last minute. Not only were they so very accommodating but the property and the room were top tier. The bed was extremely comfortable with amazing sheets, bathrobes and towels. Although this is a historic building, the shower's water pressure and temps were perfect and the room had great AC. Jacqueline was so kind and friendly. Although I was the only guest, she came over just to make me breakfast. ❤️
While having my breakfast on the porch, I met another caretaker of the property, a lovely Mr. Briggs, a fine and gracious gentleman who was so sweet and friendly that he made my entire morning. Thank you very much for such a lovely experience. ?”

“I stayed here before and due to the good 1st experience, stayed here again when back in town. The rooms are always clean, the humidity levels are just right (unlike some others), and I love the extra touches, like cookies at check in. On my last visit, I had an issue with my shower. I went down and found a lady at the front desk (name starts with J)- all I can say is wow- what great customer service! She immediately jumped into action to resolve the issue.. I would absolutely stay here again and with kid in college, I'll be back.”

“A beautiful and welcoming upscale-feeling hotel in the heart of Celebration Pointe. With a LOVELY bar and lounge, a nice restaurant - absolutely gorgeous banquet rooms and a meeting room at very reasonable rental rates. The pool area and outdoor fire pit are peaceful and just what someone needs to relax. Within walking distance of the sports complex, movie theater, shopping, and more restaurants - why would you want to stay anywhere else in Gainesville? Instead of everyone piling in to Grandma's house - Use Hotel INDIGO to create great memories and peace-filled family experiences. A Special thank you to Melissa, Mystic, and Sandy for giving my group the BEST experience!”
“Honestly, a really average Hampton Inn from the facilities. Aging rooms, scuffed furniture, and a sunken couch that’s seen better years. However, this place earned a 5 star review just because of how great the front desk receptionist Seven was. Seven was highly professional, checking in on us along the way. When we had an issue with the sleeper sofa (again this place isn’t brand new…) Seven was able to get us a roll away bed quickly. Outstanding service helps me overlook a couple of cracks and an otherwise average hotel.”
“I want to sincerely thank the team at SpringHill Suites Gainesville for doing such an outstanding job with your staff. I have rarely, if ever, felt so genuinely taken care of in a hotel the way your team cared for my girlfriend and me. From the moment we arrived, every interaction felt thoughtful, personal, and kind.
A special shoutout to Alicia, who went above and beyond by putting together a beautiful card for my girlfriend when she learned it was her birthday. Ms. Red deserves recognition as well for her wonderful sass and incredible attentiveness during breakfast, she truly made our mornings brighter. And Laura was absolutely amazing, being kind, helpful, and attentive to our needs from the moment we walked in.
Thank you all for creating such a welcoming and memorable experience. We will absolutely be back.”
“The staff are very friendly and sincerely helpful. They decorated for valentine's which made the entranceway warming. Management should show appreciation for these associates as you do not see this everywhere.
Thanks for a great stay!”
“Excellent place. Quick service. Great ammenities. None of the coffee makers we got on the room worked, but everything was so nice that one couldnt be irritated about that.”
“A little dated. About 30 minute walk to restaurants and grocery stores. Some rooms over look the freeway. Kitchen with microwave, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, plates, pots and pans. TV had white spots in screen... needs a new TV.
Clean room. Happy to consider coming back again.”

“Just spoke with Edgar at Comfort Suites, near the University of Florida in Gainesville. He was the kindest sweetest, most polite person I've ever spoken to in customer service. He was able to help me change my reservation and give me peace of mind for my child's move in to the University of Florida. Whoever Edgar's boss is, he needs a race and a promotion! Thank you Edgar ☺️”

She gave me a nice room on the top floor
The rooms are very clean
With new furnitures
Breakfast had many choices”
“We chose to stay at this hotel because of it's location to the Music College at UF. The check-in process was seamless and the room was spotless. We were tired in the evening and opted to order takeout at the lounge to eat in our room. The bartender was attentive and placed our order quickly. We were pleasantly surprised by the ribeye steak and the salmon. The salads and vegetables were also fresh and delicious. We would come again!”
“Location, location, location! Always love staying here.
Walkability: Location, location, location. Right in the middle of campus with great parking. This is the place to stay when available!!!!”
“I have stayed here multiple times and I always appreciate the location and cleanliness. Sean was incredibly helpful - he helped me get all of our luggage up to our room and was very personable. I knocked off one star because the hotel no longer offers valet service. This is a deal breaker for me and I most likely will not be back. It was stressful worrying about parking during my entire stay! The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful but several of the staff members at the door were distracted (on their phones) and didn’t offer any support with luggage, doors, etc. Sean was the only attentive attendant.”

“Hotel was clean. Staff members were friendly. Breakfast buffet was good. They had coffee in the lobby also. That was much appreciated, because we were so cold when we arrived. The hot drink was nice! We had dinner at a burger place (Relish) that was about a two minute walk from the hotel. It was good also!”

“The service was just ok, couldn’t feel any hospitality from the receptionist.
Even though the corridor had the out of date feel, the room we stayed was clean and well maintained. And the smart tv was great to watch Netflix, YouTube or traditional cable channels.
No breakfast provided wasn’t an issue to us. And the water machine in the lobby was a plus. The only downside was that they only offered coffee from 6 AM till noon.
The overall experience was good. I would come back again if I have a need in the future.”

“The room was pretty clean but you know when you're looking at a sloppy paint job that's one thing
I was smoking outside the room and one of the employees kind of gave me a hard time about it and saying oh they could take your deposit away if the smoke smoke blowing in there don't entirely agree with that statement.
The breakfast was less than desirable. You could have a waffle or cereal or oatmeal. With a sausage patty which was cold.
It was conveniently located to the hospital that we were needing to go to and they did give us a hospital rate.”

“I have been staying here almost every year for over 12 years.
Most places get older and worse
This place gets better and better.
Great management, great staff.
All rooms are good ( COULD use a bit more coffee) but pool side is the killer!
Bernard is always VERY welcome ?”

“12.28.2025 UPDATED REVIEW
YES THE ROOMS ARE POORLY INSULATED AND I HEARD A KID JABBERING ? WHEN I WAS TRYING TO FALL ASLEEP BUT ...it did not distract me from sleeping....
Some photos were taken at lobby and mini-market located at the Hilton Garden in the back parking lot.
12.28.2025!
Upon entry I was politely greeted by a smiling Trey! What an absolutely polite gentleman!
Check in was swift and he had my room keys issued before I even located my reservation. What a gem! ?
He placed me in a room conveniently located for me and I was able to get the car unloaded and take a short walk out the back parking lot to grab a quick beverage next door at their sister property.
A quick return to my room and before I knew it the sun had risen. After a long hot shower [with the most excellent water pressure] enjoyed their large breakfast buffet. Coffee was hot and the breakfast buffet was restocked on my arrival after a guests services agent observed the dishes a little low. There were scrambled eggs, assorted meats, a worth the trip taco bar, breakfast pastries and bagel ? and muffins ?.
Additionally, waffles were make your own and I observed cold cereals and toppings. It appears there was also chocolate and white milk and a variety of juice and water.
Although I did not swim as I'm continuing on my trip the pool was gated and there is a covered sitting area with ceiling fans. The temps were pleasant at 75° and the weather was perfect considering it is late December.
Overall I chose to stay here due to reading another guest review and was NOT disappointed. Easy on off highway access as well.
From meeting Liz next door while watching some football ? ? ? to relaxing and preparing for a short drive today, the only drawback was the rather loud hard-working employee banging the buffet dishes and carts around. It can be startling when she slams the garbage around and throws items ? around so just be prepared so you can enjoy yourself in spite of her hard work.
She didn't seem to be happy with her job position, but she was working and throwing herself into her job. Kudos on the hard work but I wonder what happened to make her feel the need to slam everything around. ? I attempted to engage her in conversation, let her know I noticed her hard work and left a tip for her. However, I would have left twice the tip but for her negative attitude towards her job. ? This hard-working employee is apparently unappreciated and I felt badly for her. I hope management resolves the issue as she is a keeper and never stopped grinding. She was professional in every aspect but it is noticeable that she most likely does work very hard but perhaps there are issues here to resolve. My observation is management has an issue and should reach out and assist this employee. She deserves better. She should be valued but appears she feels unseen, unheard.
Great stay just don't let the negative nellies steal your sunshine. It's worth staying here.”
“Although rated a 2 Star, I rated 5 stars because I found the owners and employees to be attentive and enthusiastic that we were there for four days.
No bugs, clean sheets and bathroom,, pool was clean, and TV worked.”
“Excellent stay! Rooms are clean and comfy. Alex and Daniella both provided lovely service with a smile. Checked in late and was greeted warmly by Alex. Learned some things to do in town and great tips on local spots. Thanks, Alex. Daniella helped us in the morning when our key wouldn’t work. Such great customer service. You rock, Daniella! The awesome maintenance man (sorry I didn’t get his name) worked in lightning speed to fix the lock- top notch service. Will return!”

“The rooms are old. The bathrooms look dirty. The tub paint is peeling and there is rust everywhere. The floor in the room sounds crunchy like the did not put the flooring down correctly.”
“We love the Sweetwater cottages. It’s always our last stop before we go to Naples every year from Michigan. Amazing service & welcoming. The breakfast is always delicious. 5 stars!”
