“I just had the most wonderful night staying at this beautiful bed and breakfast. My travel plans went askew and I needed a place to stay very very last minute. Not only were they so very accommodating but the property and the room were top tier. The bed was extremely comfortable with amazing sheets, bathrobes and towels. Although this is a historic building, the shower's water pressure and temps were perfect and the room had great AC. Jacqueline was so kind and friendly. Although I was the only guest, she came over just to make me breakfast. ❤️ While having my breakfast on the porch, I met another caretaker of the property, a lovely Mr. Briggs, a fine and gracious gentleman who was so sweet and friendly that he made my entire morning. Thank you very much for such a lovely experience. ?”

“I stayed here before and due to the good 1st experience, stayed here again when back in town. The rooms are always clean, the humidity levels are just right (unlike some others), and I love the extra touches, like cookies at check in. On my last visit, I had an issue with my shower. I went down and found a lady at the front desk (name starts with J)- all I can say is wow- what great customer service! She immediately jumped into action to resolve the issue.. I would absolutely stay here again and with kid in college, I'll be back.”

“This is a great place to stay while in town to attend UF events. It’s a fairly new hotel in Celebration Point with close access to I 75, lots of great shopping, excellent restaurants, the Saturday farmers market (Haile) and the botanical gardens. The on-site restaurant, Gather, has excellent food and uses local produce and grains. Rachel at the bar/dining area is excellent and has a lot of innovative drink ideas.”

“The Reitz Union Hotel’s biggest selling point is its location you simply can’t beat it. It’s right in the heart of the University of Florida campus making it perfect for previews , orientation, enrollment, graduation, or any student related event. The hotel is a little dated and doesn’t have a pool. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean when we arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. My only disappointment was housekeeping. We were guest at the hotel for 4 nights and while we received fresh towels and the coffee supplies were restocked daily there was no actual cleaning during our stay. The bed wasn’t made, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned, and the room wasn’t vacuumed. If daily housekeeping is important to you, keep that in mind. Other than that, we had a great experience. The campus is absolutely beautiful. The Reitz Union has a nice food court and everyone we met was incredibly friendly. My daughter and I were there for my granddaughter’s Preview and it made us even more excited for her to begin her journey at the University of Florida. Staying right on campus made the experience so much easier.”

“Stayed here recently while my pup was at University of Florida specialty animal Hospital. Location was close by and only a short few minute drive. Hotel was very friendly and even had a welcome station for pets. Room and hotel were clean and well maintained. Appreciated the pool and fireplace that was outside. Lindsey at the front desk was great as was the other girl that was there in training I can’t recall her name. Breakfast tenant was very attentive and friendly. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a place in the area.”

“This was our second stay at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Gainesville North, and it was every bit as enjoyable as our first! Conveniently located just off I-75, the hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality! The hotel is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, and we especially appreciated the full-size refrigerator, which was perfect for keeping some of our food items frozen during our stay. The complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety, and everything was well maintained. What truly sets this hotel apart is its exceptional staff. Every team member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. As dog lovers themselves, they made both us and our pup feel right at home. One of the biggest reasons we continue to choose this hotel is that it’s pet-friendly. While pets aren’t allowed in the breakfast area (which we completely understand), we enjoyed having breakfast outside with our dog while watching the beautiful morning sunrise. One update since our previous visit: unfortunately, the Applebee’s that was within walking distance has permanently closed. However, EV owners will appreciate that although the hotel doesn’t have on-site charging, there are 23 Tesla V4 Superchargers just across the highway at The Oaks Mall, making charging fast and incredibly convenient. With our daughter now attending the University of Florida, we’ll be visiting Gainesville often, and TownePlace Suites has become our preferred place to stay whenever we’re in Gator Country. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, pet-friendly hotel with exceptional service. Go Gators!”

“Location is great, especially if you’re visiting the UF. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful (big shoutout to Thomas and Ava), breakfast is OK, dinner and bar are great. So why the 4-star review? Because the air extraction/AC system is running 24/7, and it’s quite noisy! Even if you switch the AC off the extractor keeps running, and it’s loud. Luckily, I had brought my earplugs. So if you plan to stay here don’t forget your earplugs. Thank me later.”

“We had a wonderful experience at the Hampton Inn while traveling for our law firm. The location was perfect for easy access to the courthouse, and there were plenty of convenient food options nearby. The hotel was extremely clean, comfortable, and well maintained. We also reserved the conference room, which worked perfectly for our law firm team and for meeting with clients. It gave us a professional, private space to work and prepare. A special thank you to Mark, the manager, who was extremely helpful and accommodating with our requests. His attention and willingness to help made our stay and workday run very smoothly. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this Hampton Inn, especially for attorneys or other professionals traveling to the area for court or business.”

“The room was pretty clean but you know when you're looking at a sloppy paint job that's one thing I was smoking outside the room and one of the employees kind of gave me a hard time about it and saying oh they could take your deposit away if the smoke smoke blowing in there don't entirely agree with that statement. The breakfast was less than desirable. You could have a waffle or cereal or oatmeal. With a sausage patty which was cold. It was conveniently located to the hospital that we were needing to go to and they did give us a hospital rate.”

“I was very pleased with my stay. There is one aspect of my stay that really stands out to me. I checked-out fairly early in the morning and I somehow forgot my computer tablet. Within a couple of hours of checking out, I received a phone call from the front desk letting me know about it. Fortunately, I was still close by and could simply drive over and pick it up. What I consider to be exceptional is that housekeeping was already preparing my room early in the morning, they found my tablet, immediately brought to the front desk, and the front desk immediately called me. The scenario could have easily been very different. The honesty, integrity, thoughtfulness, and prompt follow-through really impressed me. This is why I stay at Hilton hotels! Thank you!”

“4.5 Stars I recently stayed at the HOM Hotel Gainesville and enjoyed my stay. I stayed at this hotel for one night and found the accommodations to be pretty good! I will say, after reading the reviews, I was not sure what to expect. However, the room was clean (no carpet throughout); there were no bugs or musty odor; the room did seem damp (maybe due to the time of year and humidity); the staff was friendly; and there was ample parking and restaurants within walking distance. I did not partake in the free breakfast or cookies, so I can not comment on those benefits. I did not give this hotel 5 stars because the mattress was hard/firm, although I still managed to get some good sleep, and because the property is still under construction (small areas like painting in the stairwell). Would I stay here again!? Absolutely, especially if I need a clean and affordable place for a short-term stay.”
