Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary offers permanent, high-quality care for New World monkeys retired from laboratory research, ex-pets, or those confiscated by authorities. The sanctuary is dedicated to advocacy and education for all captive non-human primates, aiming to improve their circumstances. Collaborating with a national network of credible animal sanctuaries and organizations, Jungle Friends seeks to combat the exploitation and mistreatment of primates. Visitors and volunteers consistently express admiration for the sanctuary, noting it is carefully maintained by experts who prioritize the comfort and needs of the monkeys. Reviewers highlight the joy and health of the monkeys, describing them as happy and well-loved. Private tours allow guests to learn about the monkeys' stories, and visitors appreciate the opportunity to interact with the animals, such as feeding them cashews. Each tour contributes to funding food, medical care, and habitat maintenance for the monkeys. The sanctuary is a heartwarming place, filled with compassion for the monkeys and a commitment to their well-being. Donations and tours are encouraged to support the sanctuary's mission and create awareness about the care of these fortunate primates.
During our visit to the Magical Monkey experience at Jungle Friends, we fed the monkeys and learned about their sad pasts. The guide's knowledge of the 170 monkeys was impressive, knowing many by name. The experience was enjoyable.

Jungle Friends was amazing!! I never knew that Gainesville had a place like this, and being able to tour and look and learn more about the monkeys was incredible and super informative. It's wonderful to see how compassionately the monkeys are being treated. They were awesome, and so were Sarah and Kari :)
