Sweetwater Park is a great place for daytime visits and a first night tram ride. A friendly ranger guides small groups through the entire park, sharing interesting stories and pointing out various animals, and gives flashlights to spot animals. The park is a nice little spot for residents or visitors to get away, though some trash appears near downtown. It offers beautiful solitude and meditation, a quiet retreat to contemplate and breath fresh air. It runs through downtown Gainesville and kept pretty clean despite a high homeless population.
