“I adopted an older dog from Pasco Animal Services. I didn’t have much information about what she’s been through. I did notice that she can be a bit growly/nippy in some situations such as trying to get a sand spur out of her paw or trying to put a swab in her mouth. I gave the limited information that I knew of to the staff during her first wellness visit today. Dr. Salton, Chris, and another staff member (I apologize for not getting her name) were so patient and kind to my little grouch.❤️ They took a lot of time with her, petting her and telling her what a good girl she was while gently performing the exam. She also got lots of treats throughout the whole process! She relaxed so much that when I was busy with the bill and paperwork she laid down and took a short nap in the exam room. The findings and recommendations were explained to me in detail and my questions were answered. The entire experience was very professional, competent and showed a high level of care and compassion for both myself and Sapphire.”

But the absolute best part of the story is that the staff, and the doctor were absolutely on top of it at every physical aspect of my Winnie, every emotional aspect, and informational points. “We love ‘Dog Lovers’! Debbie and her team provide outstanding customer service all of the time. My family is busy, so we greatly appreciate the pet food delivery service! Today we tried the pet wash stations on site, and it was so much better than attempting to wash my two huge dogs at home. The pet wash area is equipped with everything you might need, and is well appointed with towels, soaps, dryers, and more. After scrubbing down two dogs I didn’t have the normal back-breaking pain thanks to the adjustable wash basin that allows you to lift or lower the tub.
Overall, I appreciate this business very much because of the outstanding customer service. The people at Dog Lovers really do care, and that makes me want to return to establishments like this versus big box stores. If you haven’t checked out this spot, do your furry friend a favor, and stop on in!”

“As a very careful pet owner, especially when it comes to my bunny, I had a great experience with this office from start to finish. From my initial phone call, the front desk staff were helpful, kind, and accommodating, and they were able to fit my rabbit into the schedule quickly, which I truly appreciated.
I brought my rabbit, Lily, in due to a bladder stone and was understandably nervous about surgery on such a small animal. After meeting with Dr. Hughes and discussing the procedure, I felt confident that she was in good hands. He answered my questions clearly, was patient, and made the entire process feel organized and professional.
It was especially reassuring knowing that Dr. Hughes has owned rabbits himself, as rabbits are often misunderstood as pets. Lily’s surgery went smoothly, the pricing was very reasonable for exotic animal care, and the overall experience was excellent.
This will now be our veterinary office for both of my rabbits and my senior dog. I’m very grateful for the care we received and would highly recommend Dr. Hughes and his team.

“I took my cat to Acupet. He does not do well with others and hates his carrier. I let the folks know he was a handful when I made the appointment. They were prepared and handled him very well. Dr. Pike explained everything very clearly. Jill, the vet tech was great as well. They got him all his shots, an antibiotic and flea treatment, they even clipped his nails. I left him him there for a few hours to let them take care of him and it went great! I will bring my little hell-cat back to these folks with an easier mind.”
“Our cat had his first visit at Curlew Animal Hospital. It was a great experience all around for all of us. The staff was friendly and professional. Dr Smith spent a lot of time with us explaining all aspects of the exam including any adverse effects possible post vaccination. We have never received this much information from any other Vet in all the years we have owned cats. The cost of the visit seemed fair. We definitely recommend Curlew Animal Hospital for anyone looking for a caring, clean and professional practice.”
