“This location is always, always clean and tidy and very well stocked. They don't always have what I'm looking for but 9 times outta 10 they do. Staff is friendly on a wide range, but even when they're minimally friendly it's still way more friendly than the Eau Gallie location. That store is always so empty, or leaking/smells.”
“A nice store, for what it is! Very full and very well lit inside. The store is clean. The staff on the floor are alert and they care to help you. A great experience and it's an added boost to the day when you come in to a store and they treat you well. Plenty of fresh candy for stocking up to give to trick -or-treaters .... “They have a wide variety of goods. A frozen section, a refrigerated area and of course canned and dried goods. They have party stuff and housewares too.
They also have over the counter medicines.

“A young man was working Thursday around 2pm, the only register open with a very long line of impatient customers and a return transaction… he dealt with it, while I’m sure flustered, very well! I wish he could’ve been my cashier instead of the very nice woman manager who was finally able to help him out.. Kudos to you young man!”

“Big lots is my go to place for items I may not be able to find elsewhere. The associates are always friendly and helpful and each time I visit I find something I didn’t really need but catch my eye. The store is quite accessible and tidy even with the shelves being stocked. Check out is quick. Don’t forget to be a member for all the great benefits”

“Dollar General has updated their stores. They also have cute decorative rugs, picture frames with cute saying on them. Cute simple. Personally I would rather shop here then Walmart. But just like anywhere else you have to compare and watch how much you spend. lake Washington store has huge cold and freezer section isle are set up to where u find what u need.”
“I would like to give a shout out to one of the Dollar General staff, who goes by the name Sky. He was kind, courteous and super helpful. He even went out of his way to help us get an online coupon to help us save a little bit of money. “Just pick up certain items at DG a couple times a month. Some items have a better price than Walmart, but most are higher.
Use the coupons and shop on Saturdays. Saturday coupon is 5 dollars off if you buy 25.00.
Don't forget to check the size of the item. Price may be .50 cents less, but item may be 4 ounces less.
DG used to cost less than Walmart, but now DG has changed the size of packaging.”
“This is the best Family Dollar store in Melbourne, FL. The employees are exceptionally customer focused, friendly and helpful. Every time I'm in this store and can't find something, the employees cheerfully walk me to the place to find what I'm looking for. Other stores I shop at employees are far from friendly and just tell you what isle to go to. Shopping at this Family Dollar is always a great experience because of the helpfulness of every employee. I've found items in this store you can buy for $1 that are sold at other stores five times the price. Family Dollar generic cold, allergy and medical supplies are as good as name brands. You can't beat the prices found at Family Dollar on most items. And most products I buy are available most of the time when shopping. I've been to other dollar stores and none of them are nearly close to the great shopping experience at this Family Dollar. The employees make this store the best shopping experience every time I shop. I love this store!”
“A very clean and tidy store has an extensive selection of items, clothes, and electronics. Everything seems fairly priced. The store is pretty big, and it is organized well to be able to browse. There are bathrooms available as well as changing rooms to try on items.”

“Keaton and Spencer are the BEST. Every time I come in they greet me with a smile. I work up the street and this is my go to location. I have never felt more welcomed in a dollar general then I do when I come to this store. 99 percent of the time I go to this location they are usually working and it doesnt matter what time of day, that's dedication especially since I know working in retail it is hard to find good help. Bravo to selecting such nice and helpful people to run this store. Additionally, my employees enjoy going to this location as well if I ask them to make a run to the store for cleaning supplies or the crazy amount of candy we purchased during the holidays.”
“Dollar General has its origin in Scottsville, Kentucky, with James Luther "J.L." Turner and his son Cal Turner. James Turner's father died in an accident in 1902 when James was only 11. James quit school to work on the family farm, helping to provide for his mother and siblings, and subsequently never completed his education. After two unsuccessful attempts at retailing, James became a traveling dry goods salesman for a Nashville wholesale grocer. James left the sales job after 10 years and settled his family in Scottsville, Kentucky. During the Great Depression, he began buying and liquidating bankrupt general stores. Cal accompanied his father to these closeouts at a young age, gaining valuable business knowledge and skills.[14]
In October 1939, James and Cal opened J.L. Turner and Son with an initial investment of $5,000 each. The switch to retailing resulted in annual sales above $2 million by the early 1950s. By the mid-1950s Turner had 35 department stores in Kentucky and Tennessee. In 1955, Cal Turner developed his idea of a retail store selling goods for a dollar, based on the Dollar Days promotions held at other department stores, by converting Turner's Department Store in Springfield, Kentucky, into the first Dollar General Store.[15] In 1964 J.L. Turner died leaving his son Cal Turner to succeed him.”
