Twisted Shrimp
87745 Overseas Highway, IslamoradaThis place is awesome, I had one of their specials which in this case was a blue crab roll. The place is quite small with seating split between indoor and outdoor but when I went the vibes were immaculate there was Pop Punk playing over the speakers including one sond that hit me with nostalgia.
My lunch was excellent, you have to wait for it to cool tho as it comes out burning hot, and the staff there were wonderful too. There is however one major issue with this place, one that could prevent you from eating there at all.
The parking is absolutely awful, there's only three parking spaces for the restaurant, it does seem Twisted Shrimp and the vets office next door have some sort of agreement where Twisted Shrimp customers can use the vets office parking lot but that still isn't enough parking and if I understood my waiter correctly that's only if the vet isn't open so have other dining options prepared if you do go here in case you can't get parking.
I highly recommend this place if you are in Key Largo.

The woman was so kind and she made my bowl before I was even done checking out all the offerings around the restaurant. They had so many cool things. Love orchids. Organic nuts. Even refrigerated stuff and jewelry. I ended up getting a bowl to-go and it had a good amount of toppings as you can see and the base was creamy and delicious. We will definitely make this a routine stop on our way up and back.
Also very cool to see they give back to the community. I love to see that, especially when times are so tough for restaurants! Def check this place out!

We originally stopped at another establishment but they stopped serving breakfast at 10:30. We are from out of town and we wanted to stop somewhere local and close to the resort we were staying at. So happy to find this place! The service, the food and the vibe was excellent. They also have a really neat local shop to purchase some beautiful local art work. I would also highly recommend their hot sauce, it was just the right of flavor and spice.

The cafe cubano was perfect! They use cafe bustello coffee, which is one of my favorites!
My daughter’s review: natural flavor, not too sweet. The popping bubbles had a nice consistency.
