Navy Gateway Inn and Suites is a great affordable option in the area, offering a good price for the room and amenities. The rooms are clean, comfortable, well-kept, well-appointed, and spacious with plenty of space. Many rooms have a good view, a nice view of the water, and a nice view of the river. The location is quiet with a patio out back, a walking/running path nearby, and it is right by the hospital and golf course. There are plenty of nearby food and amenities options. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and nice. There is plenty of parking and good parking. The building is old and not super updated, so some rooms need updated. Some guests reported issues with appliances, such as a shower that didn't drain properly, a condition that doesn't blow very cold air, and a thermostat that cannot be adjusted to a certain temperature. The hotel does not have cookware in the kitchen, and there is no breakfast or galley on site. However, rooms include a kitchen, refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, cable, wifi, a computer desk, and access to free laundry. It is a pet-friendly location. Despite a few issues, guests had a comfortable stay and would consider staying again.
