“So I own a Suzuki Boulevard motorcycle. Is the 2024 C50 model, that hasn't been changed in over a decade. no frills, no tech, just pure motorcycle.
However, I lost the primary key that came with it when I purchased it new from Riva Motorsports.
So like any other motorcycle enthusiast, I belong to a Suzuki Volusia 800 forum on the internet. For the last 10 to 15 years, everyone has been recommending Ace Hardware. Because they do things that the big box Chains Don't Do, and that's called personal heartfelt service.
⭐ Meaning that they don't have to do it, but they do it to make the customer happy. And that's why I am thrilled with this Dixie Ace Hardware. I'm not going to mention any names, but I went to 2 other Ace Hardware stores in Miami and they were not that helpful.
?But this particular location was definitely helpful. Although they could not duplicate my key for me (no proper blanks) , I have blanks coming in and I just have to take the blanks to them and they will go ahead and duplicate the current key that I have. ? That's called going above and beyond and that's why from now on I'll do all my shopping at Dixie Ace Hardware.
I wasn't even aware that Ace Hardware was still around, until I started inquiring about getting a duplicate key for my Suzuki motorcycle. This place is huge. It's like a labyrinth. I feel sorry for any firefighter that has to respond here for a false alarm or God forbid a commercial structure fire. Since I'm retired from the fire department, that's the first thing I noticed when I walked in. The small little Labyrinth walkways throughout this very big store, sort of gave me an eerie sensation of the dolphin carpet fire in which we lost Lieutenant Dewey Henry back in 1998. Anyways, I highly recommend this store, they have EVERYTHING that Home Depot has and then some.
I was at Home Depot a few weeks ago and I never received personalized service and care like I did here at this Dixie Ace Hardware.
So kudos to you management ?. By the way, they have freeze dried candy here! I had to purchase some on my way out, because I'm growing addicted to this stuff. Must watch my blood sugar! I'll be back in a couple of days with the key blanks so they can give me my duplicate motorcycle key, and this time I'll definitely have a Samsung Galaxy smart tag attached to it. That's funny, I always had a smart tag attached to the second key, but I never had it attached to the primary key that I use on my motorcycle. If you guys are looking for personalized and quick service, which you do not get at Home Depot anymore, (I can personally vouch for that) , then please try Dixie Ace Hardware, I give them ????? stars, and will be updating this review in the next week or so. ?”

“I wasted 20 min driving to the big Home Depot in Little Havana, but they didn’t have the specially bulb that I needed in stock. Altogether, about 90 minutes of weekend time. I came to this Ace Hardware and upon walking in the clerk was immediately attentive and directed us to the right aisle. 30 seconds later, he came to the aisle and located the bulb I needed. I should have come here first and will do so going forward. Great shop, great staff, reasonable prices, and close to where I live.”

“This hardware store is a gem.
A little more than a year ago I purchased an art deco period house in Miami Beach and began a major year+ renovation project. I spent endless hours looking for what I needed at an Ace Hardware store in South Beach, or driving an additional hour round trip to go to a Home Depot in other parts of greater Miami, until I found Central Hardware.
Central Hardware soon became my go-to one-stop hardware store. The team there is knowledgeable and helpful, and while the store does not look particularly large from the street, it is well stocked with floors full of hardware goods, a complete paint department, and a wide-ranging inventory that a shopper might not expect in a neighborhood hardware store. There is also a large public parking lot right out the back door, which is the best way to enter and exit the store. I have done a few spot-checks on items to compare them with a couple of other stores, and found Central Hardware's pricing to be very competitive.
For overall selection, assistance, pricing, convenient location in the middle of Miami Beach, ease of parking, and the neighborhood feel of the store, Central Hardware has become my preferred local source for most of my supplies and tools.”

“NO TICKET, NO TOOL!What a find! I have a pricey Porter-Cable brad nailer that jammed upon first use. It took me a ton of googling, emailing and calling to get DeWalt to honor the warranty, but the upshot was that United Tool is an authorized DeWalt / Porter-Cable repair center. Although United Tool is located in Hialeah, they are on the outskirts, so while one gets to experience the creative zoning and independent street grid & naming conventions unique to the city, a trip here does not require a passport or teleportation device. Bonus - they are located near the San Pedro Pet Supply & Botanica, so if you need to do some santeria on your dog AND you need a tool, you're covered! It was easy enough to find with GPS and they have a few dedicated parking spots along the side of the building. The store is small and covered in peg-board, just like your dad's garage workshop from the 1970's. The gent behind the counter, Henry, explained that they were having an issue getting paid by DeWalt for repair work, so they would send the tool out. I got a ticket in exchange for turning over the nailer, and was admonished, both by Henry and by the copious signage inside that NO TICKET, NO TOOL! I made sure to secret that golden ticket in a safe place!Just about two weeks later, I got a call that my nailer was ready for pickup. Frantic excavation of my office ensued to locate the ticket before I set off for the pickup. It works like a charm and I couldn't be happier to nail stuff down to my heart's content. Thanks guys!”
“Moved into a condo within the past year-- asked the bldg maintenance to renew my entrance door (which was tired, and then I created a "patch" (scar) with an I VOTED sticker that removed varnish). Maintenance sent a worker, no fee (but I gave a tip)...and long story short, I ended up with dark varnish on my newly installed (light color) laminated flooring. Up one, back two? I went to this (my go-to hardware-- because it's small, familiar --vs HD); I had Mineral Spirits in mind. But then? thought to ask the three guys chatting behind the paint counter. They? (too) had reservations about abrasives; and GOOGLED (what I had NOT thought to do): suggestion: vinegar and/or rubbing alcohol. Knew I had vinegar, but purchased isopropyl alcohol at the Walgreens next door.
Tried the vinegar--minimum improvement, but still remarkable stain. Tried the rubbing alcohol-- 100%/instant(!) removal of stain, with NO damage to the flooring. THANK YOU!, guys!! (hopefully you know? WHO you are). Will "repay" you with future business. xoxo”
