“We needed 60 plus balloons blown up last minute. The manager and one of her coworkers were gracious, kind and so incredibly helpful! I have worked with this manager in the past on short notice for a funeral and she always does her very best to do all she can to help her customers.”
“A young man was working Thursday around 2pm, the only register open with a very long line of impatient customers and a return transaction… he dealt with it, while I’m sure flustered, very well! I wish he could’ve been my cashier instead of the very nice woman manager who was finally able to help him out.. Kudos to you young man!”

“Dollar General has updated their stores. They also have cute decorative rugs, picture frames with cute saying on them. Cute simple. Personally I would rather shop here then Walmart. But just like anywhere else you have to compare and watch how much you spend. lake Washington store has huge cold and freezer section isle are set up to where u find what u need.”
“This store has changed so much..cleaner calmer and great manager and staff. I come often to this location ...several times a week..today I came bought stuff got home realized I left one of my bags. Called the store they answered on 2 and ring and knew that I had left bag took my name and told me she was working tomorrow and would hold it for me...Joanne was amazing. Sincerely Elisabeth Keck”

“Weekend Evening Staff is great but the store policy is quite insulting. I was told to put my backpack at the counter? Do you tell people to put their purses at the counter.? Do you think people need a backpack to steal? Not sure what your reasoning is but I can't trust a business that doesn't trust its customers.”
“The actual location of the store is obscure. If you're not looking for it, you're going to miss it. Inside the store is not well organized and appears cluttered. Still it's a Family Dollar - this is not where you go for high-end, well made merchandise - this is where you go in order to maintain your budget. The merchandise is exactly what you'd expect for the price.”
“Just pick up certain items at DG a couple times a month. Some items have a better price than Walmart, but most are higher.
Use the coupons and shop on Saturdays. Saturday coupon is 5 dollars off if you buy 25.00.
Don't forget to check the size of the item. Price may be .50 cents less, but item may be 4 ounces less.
DG used to cost less than Walmart, but now DG has changed the size of packaging.”

I was frustrated trying to add a new card to my Google wallet and After having to go out to my car and try to figure ot out.. at my second attempt with a different cashier by the name of Joe (I think was his name, with a beard) he was able to actually tell me why I was being declined and assisted me with a successful transaction.. saved me time and prevented an panic attack. Lol Thanks Joe!”

“I am a huge believer in the energy that you put out into the world comes back to you whether it be negative or positive is up to you. Today I had an experience at this Dollar General I absolutely reinforced that belief for me. Today I met Sheila, who is an employee at this particular Dollar General. When I came in, I was looking for something in particular, and I asked her if she might know where it might be. She immediately stop what she was doing, and came to help me even going to ask another employee if there was another place in the store that it could be located. I complimented her on her hat. She had a lovely black hat with a rose on it. Then I went about my shopping. I found more cute things than I probably should have, lol In addition, of course, to the one item that I had gone in for. Sometimes, you have to let the dollar store tell you what you need, lol! When I arrived at checkout, I was chatting away with Miss Sheila when she walked away and was gone for a couple of minutes I wondered to myself where she had gone or if everything was OK. When she came back… I was just blown away. She had stepped away to ask her manager if it was OK to give me some discounts on some of the items I had purchased. I was so incredibly touched and surprised that it almost brought me to tears. We chatted for a couple of moments while she was ringing me up about positivity and gratitude and kindness and grace. Hands-down, the best experience I have ever had in a store. Thank you, Sheila for being one of those people that brings light and everyone’s life that you touch. ❤️”
