The Alden Hotel Miami Beach is a good hotel for a short stay, offering nice rooms and comfortable beds with decent space. The decor has been renewed and appliances are better. A nice fridge is provided. The location is very close to the beach, with bus stops around for those not driving. The staff provides great, friendly, and available customer service. There are some notable downsides. The property can be noisy, from a loud bathroom fan to thin walls and overnight noise near reception. Significant construction noise is also mentioned. A recurring issue is a not-good smell there. The bathroom design is problematic, with a poorly designed shower that lets water onto the floor and a teeny tiny sink. Broken soap dispensers in the shower were noted. While supposed to be non-smoking, smoking on the patio property was a problem. There is no parking, but places are nearby. Next door is the delicious BAR LUCA restaurant, though other nearby restaurants are quite pricey. A nearby market offers decent breakfast for a reasonable price. The hotel has an outdoor dining area and offers a delicious $6 coffee/pastry special. As an older Art Deco structure with much history, it remains a place that has not gone all "ultra luxury."
Very good hotel, there is no parking but there are places nearby. The agents are friendly and available, there is a delicious BAR LUCA restaurant next door. For a short stay I recommend!

The hotel is nice, they gave us a room near reception, there was noise during the night waking me up because of this, the shower is poorly designed since the water runs onto the bathroom floor.

Update: it was a great experience, but I accidentally gave 1 star to the hotel. Sorry about that. Everything was great. Upgrading my rating to 5 stars.
