About Venetian Causeway Park

Venetian Causeway Park is a passive, linear park on Biscayne Island, created from material dredged from Biscayne Bay. Opened in 1925, it runs along the historic Venetian Causeway. The park has a paved pathway, a few benches and parking spots, and shade trees. It is a retreat for the soul, known for its peaceful and serene atmosphere. The main reason to stop is for the beautiful and picturesque view of Biscayne Bay with boats of all kinds, where one can feel the breeze and look at the sea. Views include Watson Island, Jungle Island, and the MacArthur Causeway in the distance. It is not crowded, with local runners, joggers, and people walking dogs passing through regularly. The park is a little oasis and a special place, offering a sense of tranquility in the midst of Miami's vibrant energy. Note there is a toll fee to access the island from the mainland.
