Ichimura Miami Japan Garden is a small yet peaceful oasis in the heart of Miami, perfect for relaxation and reflection. Visitors often appreciate its tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for meditation and journaling. The garden features beautiful wildlife and plants, offering a serene environment that can be enjoyed in a short visit.
However, there are concerns about the garden's maintenance. Some reviewers noted that the paths and traditional Japanese elements appear neglected, with murky koi ponds and dirty stone lanterns detracting from the overall experience. The tea garden feels overgrown, and the water features are often clogged, which diminishes the calming ambiance. Despite these issues, the knowledgeable staff contributes to cultural events and workshops, such as calligraphy, which are highlights for many visitors.
Overall, while Ichimura Miami Japan Garden has great potential to be a beautiful retreat and cultural gem, it requires significant upkeep to restore its charm. With proper maintenance, it could offer an enriching experience for those seeking a quiet escape.
Tiny Japanese garden on Watson Island with a rock garden, lanterns, and bay views. Peaceful for ten minutes if cruise traffic and causeway noise don't break the spell. Free and often overlooked between the mainland and MacArthur Causeway rush.

Quiet, peaceful garden. I was able to enjoy it to myself for quite some time to meditate and journal. Beautiful wildlife and plants.
