scammers! they have hidden fees ,cannot use your own SunPass as cars are linked to their SunPass account so you are obligated to pat extra and use their services.poor customer service. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Advantage does not exist in the MIA airport. Booked a car months in advance to only find out that they do no have a location.

I rented from them , the car was nice but it was over priced and it wasn't clean. The previous person information was still in the voice box, the car had a smell and once I left the garage and stopped at the store I noticed dents in the car.

If you want to be treated like a low-class criminal or worse, a dirty animal, look no further to Advantage at Miami International Airport, and ask for Marcello Machado. He'll make sure your experience with Advantage will be a memorable one. For starters, he doesn't greet anyone, and looks at you badly if you are the one to say good morning. He's despondent, arrogant and square-minded. To make things worse, he was constantly defiant. As a local, he told me I needed to show him an actual utility invoice in order to prove I was a local, and that such was company policy (??). Ok. While he was scrolling the internet on his cell phone and interrupting me every time I was saying anything to him, shutting me up on every instance, I finally showed him the darn invoice. Once I told him he needed to work on his people skills and be more amicable or personable at least, he screamed "now I am not going to help you!"-as if he was doing a favor to me- and screamed at me to get out of there. I could not believe what I was hearing. No problem. I obliged. I took my business to Enterprise next door right away. I wonder if it was a diabetes attack, marital problems or the need to reassure himself as an alpha male, but the truth is he's not tailored to deal with people at all, and this uneducated, deeply-equivocated moron reflects the worse on Advantage as a company. I will not, ever, return to this hole in the wall at MIA. I wonder what kind of Human Resources Manager hired this bonehead who got way too many issues to deal with the public.

Maybe I rented 500 cars in my life. I've never had quite the positive experience that I did at Advantage. What many car agencies don't realize is that, Yogi informs you of what your options are, doesn't slam you into buying anything extra, but his professional courtesy is so high that you'll never go anywhere else when in Miami. Great job Yogi.

The reviews are very deceiving. Service was excellent, got the sunpass and basic protection, I was glad cause people in Miami don’t know how to drive. Almost crashed twice , and it was reassuring to know that I was covered. Thank you Yogi for all your help. Even answering my calls on his day off. Will return to Advantage for my next trip. Car was excellent and fuel was cheaper with them.

Stay away, do not use this company. It is a scam. After advertising a very low price, you get hit with all sorts of fees and the actual rate is double the advertisement. Then they automatically add insurance you don't need to make more money. Fortunately I caught that and they didn't get away with it. Now I'm constantly getting toll bills for the wrong car, I didn't use tolls. But they are trying to make more money by charging me the wrong cars tolls. These guys are crooks, just stay away from them.

We had a reservation with this company, but due to weather conditions Miami airport became shutdown, and our flight had been diverted to Orlando. Finally, we arrived around midnight on May 29th at Miami airport. While every other rental company were open and serving their customers that arrived late due to exceptional conditions, they were closed, and nobody was on their kiosk. Then they charged us for $50.00 fee regardless of the specific circumstances caused us to not showing up on time for picking up the car!!!And when I called them and explained the situation, their customer service simply said the fee is not refundable. Seems like this company has zero percent responsibility to their customers! I’ll Never rent a car from this company again!

When I planned our trip I originally booked with Fox rental. That was a nightmare. We had to take a shuttle there and service was horrible. They don’t accept debit cards and I don’t have a credit card. Then they tried to add more money. We went back to airport and went with Advantage. Service was great and honest. I also received my deposit back the next day after return! Thank you for your service and honesty??

Front Desk, Amazing, very helpful, Got me in and out fast.Now the reason for my rating. Got to my business meeting and started smelling weed. After a quick look around I found 3 buds that were just chilling in the car. Great, I probably smell of weed now for my meeting...Called in and talked to a call center, I was redirected to the Advantage Line at the air port. I called 3 times and left voicemails, never had one response back. I ended up having to clean the car out myself. NEVER a response back. I sent in an email....Never a response... If I smoked id probably give them 5 star rating for the Free Miami Buds, since I do not...here is to 2 stars-Non Smoker

Omg, so I was lied to about the sunpass, I was told I had to physically have the device to use it, so incurred $30 additional charge $10 per day for charges that were $1 per day if I registered the rental car license to my sunpass.The car rental fuel rate is the same once you get 1mile pass the airport radius, so prepaying is kinda a waste of money.They also didn’t offer any military discounts and the vehicle wasn’t clean.Luckily the vehicle was fuel efficient 2022 Nissan Sentra and the clerk Marcel was friendly and patient, otherwise I would’ve gave them 1star. This was my first time renting a car at Miami airport and it was not the best experience

Literally worst car rental experience ive ever had. We booked our reservation online months in advance of our april trip. Get to the counter and the guy was rude to us. I stated my husband was going to be the driver of the vehicle but the reservation was under my name. He tells me he cant rent the car to me unless im the driver of the vehicle even though we are married ? um ok. So my husband starts the process. We tell him we do not need their company insurance as we will be using our own. He tells us we are required to pay the supplemental liability of $14.99 per day in order to use our own insurance. I said that is not what the reservation states online and he told me too bad do you want a car or not. Go thru the process and ask about a toll pass and he tells us they charge $15 per day even if it goes unused but wif we have our own we can use it in the vehicle. When we are all checked out with the additional $130 we didnt expect to pay for insurance he tells us to go out to the garage to find our car and to take pictures for ourselves. They had no workers in the garage so we wandered around aimlessly for 15 minutes trying to find our car. Finally get on the road and head up to vero beach where we will be staying for the week. The next day we start seeing tons of body damage on the vehicle that we werent able to see in the dark the night before and document it. The windows all had a film on the inside which we tried to clean and it didnt help any. We tried to pair our sunpass with the vehicle but it wouldnt take and the car had no wiper fluid so you couldnt even wash the windshield! We called customer service, they wouldnt speak to me because my husband is the driver. He explains to them the issues we had and the only thing they could tell us was, you can drive back to miami and have them look at the car. Upon further inspection, the tag on the key ring and the license plate didnt match and the ac only worked part of the time as well as the end of the week we noticed the engine would start smoking if we idled for any length of time. Worst car rental scam artists ever. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these con artists with broken vehicles and hidden fees.

After a very inconvenient flight cancellation and major interruption to my travel plans I ended up needing a rent a car. Normally, I would consider the big name companies but I always seem to have issues with availability and not to mention high rental rates. I am glad I was able to get situated with Advantage Rent A Car with what I needed to get home. Front desk agent Davater was helpful and welcoming. He relieved the stress of the failed travel plans I had that day with his expertise and friendly demeanor. I was also treated well by Branch Manager Karim who made all the needed adjustments to get me going to my final destination. Please do not over look this company next time you need a rental in Miami. Excellent job! Thank you.

Walden at the front desk did such an awesome job explaining everything to me! I’ve worked in business before, so I believe in full transparency. He explained everything including tolls and gas to me, as well as being clear on what time to bring the car back. And, he was so incredibly kind and warm. Very happy with the way I was treated at this car rental agency and even happier with the car I got! It smelled great and it was a beautiful Nissan Versa when I got promised a compact car. Better than I thought! And, the deposit was only $250. Compared to other companies that charge $500-$1000, this was a relief!
