I rented car, it gave me one price, when come to pick up car, they said insurance mandatory. I asked why I can't use mine and why is it not on my reservation. he said it is mandatory required by state of Florida and its not included in your reservation and charged at time of pick up. and I asked how come last month I rent a car from Avis and had no surprises there. He said different company, some include in reservations and some dont

Budget is a joke I have done fast track at most other airports but at Miami airport DONT RENT FROM BUDGET go anywhere else.

I got the worst experience here.The university I work for recommended this brand so I booked and payed online 2 weeks ahead. We waited for 90 minutes in the line after 15 minutes walk in the airport. The representative said we cannot have the car with a temporary license, which is exactly opposite from the regulations on Budgets website. He refused to explain with a very rude attitude. What surprises me is the same goes for their manager and the customer service, saying that Miami is different from other places in the states. Ridiculously ruin our plan with the refund.Worst rental experience ever.

MIA location: poor service. Road side assistance left me stranded for 5 hours. No help showed up. Car stopped in the middle of a three lane highway. Other customer with identical problem and response from Budget. Never asked if I was alright or apologized. Refused to give another car because the car was impounded due to Budget not telling officer where to tow. Poor service.Car stuck on highway/bridge over water for 4 hours with elderly parent.

Why register for Fastbreak? You still get to the rent center and the line is long and there is 1 agent. I will not rent here again. Get up to speed Budget, others allow you to check in and go straight to your car. I was verified by Clear and for what? I'm still showing ID and waiting. Ridiculous! After the long wait, the 1st car isn't in the spot and the 2nd car-s screen doesn't work. Maybe 3xs this will get right. Sad!

Total rip-off! Budget NEVER AGAIN! We ordered and pre-paid a car. The unfriendly sales person gave us an "up-grade" which was dirty and still had all the information from the previous customer.We were told, that the caution of $ 250,- was only for the tolls we consumed. The trip had a toll of $ 3,- and they charged us $184,- for tolls, gas and road-assistance! We brought the car back fully tanked, there was no road assistance and certainly not such a hugs bill for tolls. They could not proof any of it! At least we were refunded the gas fee, but all others, we had to pay - although, we disputed the case with the credit card company. Stay away from that place by all means. There are certainly better options!Too bad there there are no minus-star options - we would give five of them!!! Unfortunately, I cannot post this without giving at least one star - but I do not do this, because it reflects my opinion...

I reserved an 8-passenger vehicle at the airport in Kingston, Jamaica and was told that I would get a SUZUKI APV 4DR/8PSGR or similar. On arrival at the rental counter at the airport, I was advised that Budget does not rent an 8-passenger vehicle in that location so I was offered a small SUV that I was told seats 7 people. I accepted this as "one of those things" and figured that I could make it work. The 5 of us traveling together went off to the hotel to meet up with the other 3 people who would join us for the 40-mile journey to my uncle's funeral the next morning. In leaving for the funeral, we saw where the vehicle could only hold 5 comfortably as the 3rd row seat was too tight for an adult. None the less, one person offered to sit in the 3rd road and we had to make alternate arrangements for the other 2 to be transported to the funeralOn returning the rental vehicle, I was told by the 'check-in' attendant, that the left front tire of the car was damaged. I was advised to go into the office and discuss the matter with the rental representative. That agent told me that I would need to pay for the replacement of the tire at a cost of $180. I disputed that and was then told that it would be $280 to replace the tire. I asked to speak with the station manager and was told that none was on duty. I insisted and was given a phone number to call at the local corporate office. I asked the rental agent for the manager's name and was told to explain my situation to the clerk who would answer the phone at the corporate office and that clerk would then decide if I would be connected with a manager. I was then asked for my credit card number which I refused to provide, stating that it was already on file with the rental office. At that point. I exited the office as I needed to go check in for my flight home. Today, I looked at my credit card statement to see that I was charged for $380. This amount was never mentioned by the rental agent at Budget.

The wait to get to the desk is exorbitant, but once there, customer service is excellent.Let me begin by sharing that the cars are parked in a dark underground parking lot, so visibility is poor until the driver leaves the lot which leads you onto a busy thoroughfare.The first I rented a car had the overwhelming stench of smoke, but I was surprised when I got to my destination to see how filthy the car was with ashes and debris. I returned that car after I began to have allergy attacks and was told the car was not cleaned the night before.I was given a second car which did not smell like smoke, but was equally filthy with ashes, stains, and debris. I had to take it to a car wash.Budget has to treat their customers better given the prices they charge. Id give 4 stars for counter service, but the hassle and disgustingly dirty cars brought the rating downI will use another company moving forward.

We booked a vehicle here for 2 days. Upon arrival at the location of the airport there was very long line. I had never rented with Budget but when I made my reservation I had signed up for fast break. Having never used it I didn't know how it worked exactly. I saw a sign that said if your fast break member go to level 2 and it's an easy exit. I went to the desk just to ask if that was accurate and the lady at the desk not at all friendly said if I'd never used fast break that I had to stay in line. My husband said he'd run downstairs and double check since she was rude and probably just didn't want to deal with my questions while helping other guests. Upon getting downstairs he called and said come on down that fast break member can get vip service. The lady downstairs was so nice and accommodating. She was able to get us an upgrade and everything. I highly recommend getting the fast break membership and renting with budget. The check in and out was seamless and easy and the car was brand new and clean.

This company is not good....first we had a booking of a car, and they said is needed to have a card with roadside assistance...??? this is the first time i heard such a crazy thing, after argue with the guy he said we could take the car without insurence for $1800 credit card deposit, and we agreed. The invoice $199We had to sign up a lot of papers that we're responsible or damages, so far good. We returned one hour before our time, and everything good. Thay said they will charge the next day, because the office was closed, what a surprise when 2 days after i receive a $250 charge of this company.... they charged me insurence, when i said several times i didnt want to, compromise my credit card, and sign up several documents.I'm sure the employees take a percentage of every sales and if you dont accept the insurence, they charge anyway. I think this is completaly illegal practice. I did a claim, and wait. This was in Santo Domingo Airport, DR, Boca Chica, so please be carefull guys.

I have seen a lot of bad reviews of this place but my experience was the opposite. I reserved a Minivan a week before my trip. When I got to pick it up everything was fast and easy. The lady from budget was kind, fast and explained everything to the detail. The minivan was awesome. I’m very pleased with their service.

I would love to give them a better review honestly, because the pick up was quick, especially when you fill out the preliminary info online, and I got the vehicle I asked for with no issues or hidden fees. But damn… there were roaches in my vehicle. Didn’t find out until the tail end of my driving experience because they weren’t evident in the daylight. Otherwise, it would’ve been a 5-star experience for sure.

The Downtown Miami office was terrible. We waited for 1 1/2 hours for the shuttle at the Port of Miami, Virgin cruises area. When we got to the Downtown office I was told my van wasn't available yet and they didn't know when it would be available. I ended up canceling the van and ended up taking Uber to the Miami Airport location where my vehicle was available. Then, I found this piece of plastic hanging down from the front fender well area. I let me agent know and she wouldn't write it down. Told me to just take a picture of it, so I did. That plastic piece ended up falling off, it ended up being almost half of the inside fender well... LOL. When I asked for a different vehicle I was told there was none available. On top of it all, as we tried to leave the rental car area the guard wouldn't let us out because the bar code on the contract didn't match the bar code on the car. She wouldn't write down the hanging plastic piece either.

Don't rent from Budget in Miami. It took over an hour to get my car when the rest of the agencies had short lines. The price I was charged wasn't the same as the price on my reservation. I was charged the fuel service option even after saying I didn't want it. Couldn't read the signature pads because they were too high and the lcd screens didn't show everything. Terrible experience. Though the car was new and nice.
