“No bank nor other CU will treat you like family as AAFCU period. Throughout my life I've had multiple bank accounts or CU's & the best of the best of those just didn't come close to the level of service as AAFCU. They have protected me from scammers by blocking purchases & reimbursed me after being scammed. On the very rare occasion I've ever overdrafted my account, they have refunded me the fee as an extremely gracious gesture because I also deposited cash within the same day. I made the deposit before calling customer service to make the request. It's like this, we know in the airline industry how to conduct ourselves at the highest honor code. There are passengers who are like us & there's some whom are the complete contradiction to us. When you call customer service conduct yourself as the best of the best & they will show you how we are in alignment with each other. I can't believe I hadn't given a review until now. If 10 stars were available they deserve 10 stars 🌟!! I honestly feel valued like family at AAFCU.
I may need to open a secondary account elsewhere only because I need Zelle & it's literally the only thing not offered here. I was told Zelle had some concerning issues that they didn't feel was safe enough for their members. Zelle was my go to preferred app to transfer money until March 2025 when AAFCU discontinued its use.
I highly recommend AAFCU even if necessary to have a secondary account elsewhere for Zelle.
There's supposed to be a way to link outside accounts to your AAFCU account, so I'll be looking into that to make my life easier.
Also BIG advantage you can store other members information in order to send each other money instantly & program nicknames on your own accounts & their's to avoid confusion. This is a huge plus!! You don't have access to each other's accounts, you can only send to each other, you simply link to each other & can help each other out without risk.
AAFCU has a mile long list of pros & nearly zero cons, nothing a big deal. Your debit card may not work on Facebook linked ads, be grateful because Facebook has become insanely scammy. Use a cc in that case.
All in all BRAVO AAFCU for treating us like family instead of merely customers!!!!!!!!”

“They fixed most of the problems finally with the banking app and got more customer service reps in Palm Beach to take calls.
Also a new plus is the ability to get an immediate replacement debit card in branch since USPS lost mine twice.
Make sure to ask for a member ID card if you plan on using a shared branch to make transactions easier. Because they do not give temporary checks make sure to get a direct deposit / ACH letter that has your account number and bank routing number on it for direct deposit and services like PayPal.
A good positive for this credit union, no direct deposit required and no swipe requirements and no minimum balance requirement for basic free checking.
They now have new ATM networks that has unlimited checking withdrawals at Publix, CUliance, Allpoint, (Winn-Dixie, CVS & Walgreens) and MoneyPass (7-Eleven) is also included with basic checking.
Note: SFFCU is Co-op shared branch. The ATM is not a Co-op shared ATM.
Update: The teller at UM Hospital has been discontinued but they do have ATMs on the lower level in the east tower near the cafeteria.”
