This is one of the most egregiously poor experiences I have ever had with a rental car. Waiting over an hour half for a scheduled pickup. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Hitchhiking would be a more effective mode of transportation.

I have never seen more disorganized and slow rental car place. Waiting over 80min to pick up a car with an appointment. Avoid at all costs - go to enterprise in brickell instead or anywhere else.

Slowest car rental agency ever. 3 employees working and only 3 people in line, 35 minutes to just talk to the employees who said I needed to wait another 1.5 hours for my car. No compensation for the wait and messed up reservation. Terrible, won’t ever use hertz again.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Hertz location on 9/4/25

My reservation was for 8:00 AM, and I arrived about 10 minutes early. When the office opened, I stood in line where there were two associates at their desks. Neither greeted me or acknowledged me. Instead, one of the associates, François, shouted from across the desk asking if I had a reservation and for my confirmation number—while I was still standing in line.
I found this approach unprofessional and impolite. Instead of a simple “Good morning, how can I help you?” or an introduction, I was spoken to in a way that felt dismissive and uncomfortable. When I mentioned that I was used to a more courteous and professional greeting, his response was simply “Right,” which came across as rude and dismissive.
This interaction set a very negative tone for my rental experience. Professionalism and basic courtesy go a long way, especially in customer-facing roles. Unfortunately, this Hertz location failed to meet those standards, and I will not be returning. I will also be sharing my experience publicly so others are aware.

If I could post this with 0 stars, I would. I had a reservation with Hertz that I was surprised with an additional deposit for, experienced poor customer service, and ultimately canceled my reservation to go with another company VERY NEARBY (who was excellent in service and car type). A little over a week later, I started receiving emails related to another person's rental. I replied back to notify them after the 1st and 2nd email I received. Just this morning, I received an email with this person's final statement - including their HOME ADDRESS! Highly recommend not using Hertz and at the very least not using the Hertz location in downtown Miami. Their lack of attention to detail at the minimum and outright disregard for customer privacy is appalling.

So currently being left on hold on the phone while writing this review. My boys rented vehicle online and were approved, so they went on vacation to Miami thinking they will have a rental. Only to keep being told things needed and once they had it. We’re again turned away. I called and briefly just started asking for rental criteria and agent didn’t disclose his name kept cutting me off when I tried to ask about situation happened with my boys only for him to cut me off said he’s going to get the manager and I heard him talking before the hold now I’ve been on hold for about 15 minutes now. My boys are left with no vehicle in another state when they were already approved and previous agent said they need the credit card which they came back with the next day only to be turned away again. Again mom here still on hold.

Great Location. I’m grateful for the convenience of this Hertz Location in proximity to the Cruise terminal. In addition, there is a free shuttle that takes you to the Cruise terminal. They can also pick you up after your cruise if you need a rental afterwards. Friendly staff and very helpful. Highly recommended!
