I'll give it one star since there is one employee, Simone Rafael, that is outstanding, and helpful, otherwise, it would be a 0 stars.The Hertz as company or the Miami location who is responsible for trying to rip me off is a different story.Summary:- On Wed, Sep 20, 2023 at 8:18 PM I reserved a vehicle under business rate for just over 400, AS A GOLD PLUS member.- Days before departure on 3/25/2024, I noticed that reservation was reflecting a price of almost $1900. As I did not check on the reservation for long time, since sept 2023, it seemed very high price few days before departure.- When I arrived, the cc on file was expired, and Simone Rafael ( Hertz employee) stated that if I do not prove that I work for the company I reserved under, I will be charged full ~$1900. Why?- As I look at my original email, I see Due at Time of Rental: $405.76 USDThe Hertz profile clearly shows the company name I am registered under, and if there was any request to prove my employment, it should have been done days/weeks/months prior to my arrival. I have been with same company for years, and THIS IS THE FIRST HERTZ LOCATION TO PULL OFF THIS STUNT!- I told Simone Rafael that I usually receive a yearly email to confirm employment, but this on the spot check was uncalled for. I produced my work laptop showing the company logo and email to validate my proof of employment on the spot.What is the point of proving my work credentials on yearly basis if a location is cancelling the offered business quote without prior notification? Shameful.

Arrived MIA before 6am. Being a gold 5 stars member, directly heading to the pickup booth. Light is off, no one inside. It makes me no choice reaching to the car return staff. Staff requested me going back to 4f to wait in the line. Waste nearly one hour in the long line, but eventually the front desk told me that I should choose my rental at the president zone. Went back to 3F, finally there is a staff in the office. Treat me rudely. Deny no staff at 6am. What a shame! Last, at the gate ready to exit the parking structure, staff requested me to show corporate badge to prove I’m eligible to use corporate code. Man~~

Check your bill at the end and be sure they didn’t charge extras. We got charged for fuel despite filling the car right before returning. And of course they charge you 3 times the price of gas. What is annoying is that they try to sneak it past you as it appears in small print on your bill along with other miscellaneous charges, and it just goes through on your credit card, so there’s no chance to dispute it. Let’s see how easy this will be to resolve.

The car we rented was just fine but what I was really unhappy about was the way they dealt with the tolls that we could not avoid, because you go right out of the airport on to the tollway. The $17.96 for tolls was annoying, but I assume that was what was charged by the state. But then Hertz tacked on a so called "Convenience Fee" of $34.95. Also, no where did I see any mention that we would get these charges ahead of time. I doubt I will ever fly into Miami and rent a Hertz vehicle again.

Honestly horrible experience and almost ruined our trip. We booked a car, confirmed it and confirmed via text message that we were arriving. When we arrived there was no cars except for electric. Since we arrived at the counter around 1am after a late flight it and driving to the Florida Keys we were absolutely scared to get an electric car. We have no experience with an electric vehicle and had way to know if there were any chargers where we were going. The only option given to us was to come back the next day. So not sure where we would have stayed unless we slept inside of the airport. We made two complaints to Hertz and asked for a call back and have not received anything for weeks. Extremely poor customer service, so beware. Note they replied with a what appears to be a form letter response but the browser link included doesn't work. So it does appear the company really doesn't care about their customers.

TLDR: I STRONGLY suggest you use a more reputable rental service such as Enterprise. I've had better success with them as well as Dollar and other rental services. I will try my best to avoid Hertz in the future due to low quality vehicles and quality of service.Full Story: I booked with Hertz because I wanted to make sure to use a "name-brand" rental agency for the trip in which I was hosting some family. To begin with the good, I would like to say that while they were obviously very busy, and we arrived a few hours early, they were able to accommodate getting us into a car at that point even though they were fully booked. However, the car they gave us was in fairly rough shape -- starting with a broken back windshield wiper and a spotty CarPlay connection. During the trip the check engine light came on, the engine struggled to stay on at times, and the CarPlay messed with my GPS causing issues. However, given that it was still limping along, I felt it best to avoid wasting a chunk of my vacation time returning the vehicle in the middle of my trip and to just indicate these issues during the return process. Upon my return, I told them everything and the manager said that he was sorry and would return a portion of my bill to accommodate for the issue. Unfortunately, I found this to not be true. After giving a couple of weeks to see the return, I tried calling Hertz. They told me that for some reason Hertz as a company is unable to handle their own finances and that I needed to go through the local office. Unfortunately, I was also unable to reach anyone at this number. After spending literally more than 4–6 hours on figuring out why I didn't have the reimbursement I was promised, I tried having my credit card company reach out. This finally resulted in Hertz responded to say nothing more than "services were provided and so charges are valid". Save yourself the trouble and use a different agency.

THEFT!! Returning a vehicle a member of staff stole wallet and phone - we reported it to manager JJ & filed a report with the police. JJ knew who took it, phone was returned but emptied of money, as was the wallet. UK Sterling & dollars.Whilst we were there trying to sort it out other customers came in and were reporting to the same manager they'd had bad experiences, so we weren't alone!We were promised a refund of the hire as hundreds of dollars and sterling currency was taken. Funnily enough no refund. We've corresponded with Hertz who don't give a monkeys and are being obtuse in not actually answering the question. We didn't ask for a refund, the manager offered it and was very apologetic- she knew who took the money. Sadly the follow up is we don't care by Hertz so I feel I've been robbed twiceDONOT USE THEM THEY ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY.

This review is a few weeks late, but had a great experience with Hertz. The lady at the counter (she is in the picture, I can’t remember her name) was amazing. So sweet, so friendly, when she realised we were from England we spent ages chatting about her recent vacation there, spent ages with us chatting, she was so kind. Gave us information about tolls system we could purchase and didn’t try to sell us it as where we were going it wouldn’t make sense for us. The car ended up being an upgrade to a trail blazer (I think) which is bigger than what we had booked. We dropped the car at Orlando and had no issues. Please give this lady a raise, she is a real credit to your company.

I just rented a Shelby Gt-H here and picked it very dusty and not cleaned up. It also had a bit of a wobble at high speeds (tires need balancing) was not really worth it for the cost that it was.
