Average experience at a car rental place, some parts were extremely frustrating, and some were alright. I needed a rental as a result of an accident and was provided this Hertz location by my insurance company, which is closest to my home, instead of one closer to the accident scene. There was a lot of confusion because multiple Hertz employees from different locations were calling me to set up appointments. I had to wait until the next day to get my rental, as they closed at 5pm. What was possibly the most frustrating part, was the pickup driver that came to my home. When I called that morning to confirm, the employee working said they only give shuttles out to people within 4 miles of the shop- despite me already having a reservation and confirming the day before. They eventually came to me, but It took the driver 30+ minutes to find me, after giving him my address, other close by addresses, and even sending him a pin of my live location. He was very old school, and called me saying, 'I can't look for you all day'. Was just rude, but I forgave that because the pickup option was convenient. The Hertz location only had one lady working everything- she said because her boss doesn't work weekends and another person is on vacation. I felt bad for her, this is very unfair treatment of employees!! She was answering phones, checking in/out rental cars, pulling them around, etc.- all by herself. On a busy Saturday morning. Hertz needs to do better. I have my rental until Aug 14- but I know most likely I will need to extend it, and they said I have to contact my insurance company. After reading other reviews with bad experiences about extensions, I hope I don't have a problem as I won't be able to come in-person on that day. Seems a little disorganized. But a positive is my car is very nice and clean!

Never again!
Got dirty car 1hr later than contracted, agent wrote wrong fuel level in contract, she did not correct after I complained (which is totally unacceptable), got a car a category lower than booked and paid, customer service was not able to help and asked me to contact road assistance. Road assistance asked me to drive to next onsite location in Cape Coral. Hertz location in Cape Coral is permanently closed! Hertz didn't help me at all and kept me busy. Now will I have this car for 3 weeks and at return I have to discuss fuel level.
What else a company can do worse than Hertz did?
This is definitely the last time I booked at Hertz.

They would not allow me to renew /extend n the rental over the phone or online . I wanted to take the insurance off since mine covers rentals 100% . Had to go in person higher rate and another deposit. Ridiculous

Very Disappointing Experience – Felt Deceived
I had a very unpleasant experience with this car rental company. From the beginning, the service was unprofessional and misleading. I was quoted one price online, but when I arrived to pick up the car, the servise was rude and they did not explainme that the price is higher. When I asked for clarification, the staff was rude and unhelpful.
It felt like I was being taken advantage of, and I left with a strong sense of being deceived. I expected transparency and honesty, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I will definitely not be using their services again and I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this company.

... the worst service that I could receive, terrible customer service. I couldn't rent a car by payment policies. And the lady lied when I asked if she charged the money in my credit card. I see in my balance a charge of $100 with her telling me she never charged me. They are liars in addition horrible customer service

Pos. They make you add your own sunpass or upcharge you 5 times what it would cost you. When you try to add your sunpass it doesn't let you and they say if you have a sticker sunpass which 99 percent of people do. Then it won't let you. So you have to buy a brand new equipment and account or else it won't let you add it to your existing account these hidden fees are getting out of control honestly. Spoke to Jonathan at location. Offered no solution other than buy a whole new equipment and open another account. Foh.

Worst Experience Ever!!
First of all, car is completely dirty. Windshiel has dirty spots INSIDE for every place. Dangerous to drive. I have to deep clean it by myself.
The worst of everything....I need to the car for 5 days, the agent told me they have a weekly rate so I had to take for 7 days. Rate was $233.14 and $46.63 for extra day. I went to the store on day 7 to extend for a couple of days more. Agent done, and surprisely change me the rate to $318.19. I asked for an explanation and he told me that was made by the computer!!! Because I am in a hurry, I just got it, and then I start trying to connect with customer service. There was 7 calls to reach somebody to get an explanation. Customer service said that ONLY store can fix it. I called to store, Store said only Customer service can fix it. I spent 2.30 hours and nobody help me.
Finally I decided to return the car same day, because this looks loke a bad joke.
Agent at store did not show any interest in try to help me.
He received the car, and charge me the rate of $318.19.
It is unbelieveable. NO COSTUMER SERVICE, NO INTENTION TO HELP CUSTOMER.
I will fight at any way until I receive my money back, not for the money, is for the way they treated me.
Plus hours on the phone, plus UBER, plus my time, and my mental health.
I hope that somebody can take action on this matter.

Terrible customer service at this location. All the employees are on their phones texting and checking their bank statements as they provide you “service.” You are secondary to their personal whims. The system is always down, too, so something as simple as returning your rental turns into a 30+ min ordeal.

No employees working, branch left alone with doors open, anyone can go in and steal car keys at any time. One lady goes to Hilton Hotel to drop off clients, and the other old guy is slow and leaves to get cars from a distant lot. No order while waiting in the lobby. People come and go and get attended at random. This is the worst hertz ever. Poor customer service and no sense of priority for those waiting. Only one associate is attending guests, while the other associate is an Uber driver and doesn't help in the lobby.

Horrible customer service! I will neverrr rent with Hertz again. I got a blown out tire hours after picking up a rental. Roadside assistance never came so we were stranded in Ft lauderdale and we had to pay to get a mobile repair truck to replace the tire. They didn't care that we were stuck in Ft Lauderdale without transport. We asked for compensation for the cost of the replacement tire but they say they are not liable and cannot give us any recourse

Horrible experience. Horrible customer service. We rented a car Monday morning and prior to renting the car, one of the workers was letting us know that it would be possible that the car could have some issues when we went to pick it up. We questioned how that would be possible if we were reserving the car a few weeks in advance and after speaking with another woman, she said nothing would be wrong with the car. Doesn’t make any sense.
When we picked up the car Monday morning, it was making a noise so we had to return it and pick up another car. They didn’t bother checking the car to see if it was even making a noise, which led us to believe they knew about it already.
3 workers had told us that the drop off of the car would have to be before 5pm to avoid extra charges and when we went to turn it in, there were extra charges because they said we had to turn it in before 9am. After a long time of waiting and workers going back and forth saying that the system automatically created the charges , one of the workers very rudely told us “haven’t you guys ever rented a car , the drop off is always 9am?”. We responded that , that was not what we were told. Horrible customer service, stay away from this rental service.
