Everything you encounter, including some of the people, while using Miami public transportation is dirty, smelly, and frankly needs a deep cleaning.

Driver intentionally took off roughly and repeatedly attempting to punish me for not having my bus pass in my only working hand as my other hand is paralyzed.

Late buses that two buses arrive together at the same stop at later times, a real disappointment

Buses are a disaster. Had waited for S bus for one hour. There were a lot of people at the stop, some of them elderly. Heavy rain started twice. One woman begged passing drivers to get her to downtown for 10$, she was so exhausted. Someone from MDT arrived in the SUV. He didn’t care about how long people were waiting, he was driving a MDT car, so didn’t care about buses. There were other people inside his car, most likely his family. Why don’t MDT employees try to take a bus instead?

I went on the MetroMover for a little while - that's a fun free thing to do (once) that goes high around Miami with good views . However an alpha male Latino entered in with his family and kind of took my spot by just ignoring my presence as if I was invisible. kind of demeaning in - normally oh I would have objected or made a scene seen or done something but you know when you're at at a place for the 1st time you're just trying to be polite - plus he had his adult daughter who had a baby so i can only imagine how they would use that as a 'weapon' if there was an argument. I don't mind making space for the elderly or a mother with baby etc but the alpha latino didn't even bother being polite about it- nonetheless i turned the cheek & walked over to a different part of the tram pretty rude - I would call it Latino Supremacy ?. Muy mal

The bus service is very bad here. The bus drivers are always rude and have bad attitudes as well.

Dear Miami dade transit. It would be nice to make an announcement that on holidays like today maybe 27th of 2019 there will be no regular bus schedule. I took my regular 5 am bus to dadeland boulevard and 88st to find out that route 73 won’t be running on a regular schedule. After checking the bus schedule last night to make sure it would had regular hour and it said it did and today I find out it doesn’t. I wish you guys would consider riders as much as you guys love your paychecks

Unfortunately, my car is in need of repairs that are more costly than my budget can manage this summer. As a result I have had to depend on public transportation daily as a means to get to and from work. Being that I live in downtown Miami and work in Cutler Bay, taking Uber every day would be counter productive. Miami-Dade County Public Transportation has proven itself completely unreliable over and over again. After paying for my day pass, many times I end up having to pay for Uber anyway because the bus is late, the train is delayed or it breaks down during transit. Now I've lost my money that I've paid for my ride, I've lost the money I've had to pay for my Uber and I've lost money from the time I'm losing from work by showing up late. Not to mention my reputation at work and rapport with my superiors are being tarnished. Wednesday, July, 24th, The Brickell station was out of service and we were all told shuttle buses were coming to take us to Viszcaya. Once we reached Viszcaya and mounted the train, it broke down on Douglas and we had to wait for the next one. I reached my destination at Dadeland South Station, transferred to the 38 Busway Max only for that but to break down on 173rd street. I lost an hour from my paycheck that day. Today something was wrong with the train because it was going less than half of the speed it was supposed to and literally waiting 5 minutes at every stop before proceeding. Same thing, I transferred to the 38 Busway Max (this time, one of the newer buses) and the bus broke down around 144th st making me an hour late again. This is now $50 that I've lost just this week due to a faulty public transit system. My job is now requesting that I start work an hour later than usual and I'm now going to lose that hour of work every day. I am extremely disappointed that I have been consistently paying for a service that time and time again fails me. The worst part is that right now, public transportation is my only option and I am stuck having to rely on this unreliable source of transportation until I am able to fix my vehicle.

95 Express Civic Center bus to golden glades and Aventura have no consideration for rider schedules. Hospital and Civic Center workers get off at 3:30, 4:30 and 5:00 and bus leaves area at 2:20, 3:20 and 4:45 almost empty. The next bus comes 15 - 20 minutes or more later, and riders often have to stand up. Employees have to leave work early if they want to catch a bus at a reasonable time. The morning are just as bad. Downtown bus runs ever five minutes and Civic Center ever 20 - 30 minutes.

The worst transit system ever! Trains are constantly late or break down. One of the Easy Card machines at Palmetto Station took my $20 and didn't load my card. I've been trying to get a refund for over 2 months and the employees just keep telling me to wait.

Worse conditions ever. Do you see the word Authority missing? That is bc greedy nasty politicians converted Transit from an independent Authority into part of local government (25 yrs ago approximately) so they could allocate (steal) money. When visiting other places, the word Transit is generally followed by the word Authority. Why is this so important? This is supposed to be a Federally Regulated SAFETY transportation industry. When local governments get involved, turning transportation into politics, it becomes a great risk to everyone's safety & how many unnecessary deaths will occur. The director has NO hands on experience in the industry. Is college educated but without experience, every single detail is theoretical rather than experiential. The routes are outdated by 20 years or better so none are efficient. They outsource a lot of routes to private companies, which is supposed to be illegal under the Federal Safety Regulations. When routes are outsourced, safety is highly compromised for many reasons. One is economic. These outsourced drivers are not properly compensated. The reason you want the appropriate wages for your driver's is very simple. The less worry a driver has of becoming homeless the safer they operate. Next, they need to be able to afford to live in a decent quiet neighborhood for adequate & required sleep for the safe operation of their job. The actual transit operators here make $10/hr LESS, than nearly all other major cities. The outsourced routes to private companies only make $8 to $12/hr, which is not enough to survive in a city like Miami. To have a driver earn such a low income is a crime & a safety risk for us all. Next the equipment is being replaced finally, but is still substandard on many routes. The drivers for actual MDT are dropping dead at an average age of 55 bc of the substantial abuse & mistreatment from the employers plus what is allowed by the passengers without any type of resolution planned. They have to deal with cultures of ppl whom do not obey our laws, rules, nor safety regulations. There are solutions, but they are not even bothering, even though it could help extend the life expectancy of their drivers to match the national average & maybe even get to retire, plus reduce liability & expenses from unnecessary accidents. Most now, are currently not getting to retire or not for long, bc they are dropping dead before retirement or shortly after. Look for Transit Alliance! This guy came here from another country & is doing his best to address what he sees needs fixed for the betterment of us all. I will be giving him the full details of what I've learned! I also want to start making instructional videos to help ppl get around Miami & the Beach best & reduce hassle for everyone! Ppl deserve to live long happy lives! All ppl, even the cultures that don't yet follow our safety rules & laws could be resolved with some real initiative!
