“Dr Borde and the clinic team are absolutely without a doubt the best vet I’ve ever been to. My dog is 14 years old, and never in the 14 years of various vet visits at various clinics have I ever felt so heard, understood, and confident that I was prepared with explicit next steps and exactly what I need to do to keep an eye on my dogs heart health going forward. The wait was minimal, procedure quick and the visit with Dr Borde was top tier - took the time to explain every detail clearly in a way that I understood the first time, without prompting a million follow up questions, and left me feeling the most confident I’ve ever felt that I truly knew what was going on and what the next steps were. Seriously can’t say enough how much I appreciate the true human-ness of the entire experience. With an elderly dog things are often left up in the air with more questions than answers - but not here. I left with a full write up of everything that we discussed along with explicit instructions for my general vet to follow for future procedures to ensure my dog’s well being as much as possible. I will absolutely continue to follow up with Dr Borde as recommended and I urge anyone who has had hesitations to just do it. If it’s anything like my experience you’ll leave with the answers to your questions and/or next steps to get there. Thank you Dr Borde and team for your compassion and not treating us like “just another patient.” You’ve truly risen the bar in my mind.”

“We cannot say enough good things about the care our dachshund Daisy received at UF Small Animal Hospital. From the first moment we called, everyone we spoke with was kind, compassionate, and incredibly helpful. During a frightening time for our family, we always felt that Daisy was in capable hands and surrounded by people who genuinely cared about her, her comfort, and her recovery. The communication was exceptional. We received multiple phone calls updating us on Daisy’s condition, her test results, her surgery, and how she was doing afterward. Every update helped us understand what was happening and reassured us that our girl was receiving the best possible care. We are especially grateful to faculty clinician Theresa Pancotto, resident/intern clinicians Eva Ruzics, and Katy Walrond, and student Savannah Christens. “Our rare and wonderful Seppala Siberian Sleddog Lady underwent major surgery removing tumored left kidney and spleen , malignant left adrenal gland, and partial removal of liver cancerous tumor. The surgical team, techs, and staff all outstanding. She is now in continuing care with UF oncology for the bit of liver tumor that could not be removed and monitoring for possible other cancers. They’ve given quality of life and hope for our treasured fur family member.”
