“Outstanding sustained experiences. Sean and Julie both deserve raises and promotions IMHO. Been committed to this location for more than a decade. Always greeted as family. Fuel, Lottery, Snacks all in line. Exceeds expectations. Once, needing air in tire, Sean saw I was struggling. He came out and shared that the fitting was tricky as well as getting air in my low tire and back on my way safely.”

“Just a typical convenience store gas station with rather atypically well mannered and easy going employees. Every employee I encountered there just had a good energy about them and were very patient and understanding.”

“I go there alot not only for gas but their cigarettes are cheaper than I have found anywhere. These people went above and beyond the call of duty for me. I started feeling very sick to my stomach so I pulled in their but I threw up before I got my door all the way and it went all over me the floor and my door, one of the female employees helped me inside to the bathroom so I could clean up. She came back and brought me a shirt to wear home. Then I went out to clean my car up and the manager had already cleaned it up and washed of the pavement. I was so embarrassed but they were so kind about it, this store the one on county rd 218 has the best staff I have ever seen the manager and his employees are very well trained. Always smiling and they always say hello and how are you doing. They deserve praise and a raise. I would not hesitate to hire all of them but I'm retired, anks to those that helped train them.”

“Customer service is outstanding. Ladies room are expertly cleaned. The coffee area offers a variety of blends. Soda drinks are to the right on the way in. Food area is directly in the front. I've never purchased hot food but I know it's offered. The waiting in line to pay moves fast. The outside self serve fuel parking lot offers more pumps on 21 North.”

“Here’s a great 5-star review you can use: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Speedway is hands down one of the best convenience stops around! The store is always clean, well-stocked, and easy to get in and out of—perfect when you’re on the go. The staff is friendly, quick, and always helpful, which makes a big difference during busy moments. I also love the variety of snacks, drinks, and hot food options—they always have exactly what I need. The gas pumps are well-maintained, and the overall experience is fast and efficient every time I stop by. If you’re looking for a reliable, clean, and convenient place to fuel up and grab essentials, Speedway is definitely a go-to! ⛽✨”

“This Circle K, driving south on 21 is the last place to get fuel for 20 miles. The manager tells me it's the busiest Circle K in Clay County. He has a terrific staff inside. Fuel is self serve so I really can't rate it.”

“Fast service with nice employees that have a good attitude and positive outlook which makes it a lot easier to spend more money on Gas than I would like and tolerate the inflation on the other items that I am there to get. So while I am not happy about the prices of the items I have to understand the issue is not with the company that owns the store its a matter that is far larger than any one business owner can create or control ... but I will give it a five out of five stars to the employees who have made the experience of spending a lot more than I wanted to a tolerable one if not enjoyable at times.”
The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.

Read the postLove's Travel Stops is rolling out a new system that turns work into a game for its restaurant employees. Picture this: Three big screens in each restaurant, tracking how fast workers greet customers, take orders, and hand out food. It's not just for show - early results say it's making service 11 seconds faster on average. "These monitors track key performance metrics in real-time, such as greet times, order processing times and the time it takes for food handoff," Love's explains. The system creates a more interactive environment, fostering friendly competition between stores.
