Came across Richard's Mattress on Atlantic and was surprised to find it was a locally-owned store and been in business for over 40 years, being the first mattress store in the beaches area. I was welcomed immediately and made to feel at home with no pressure to buy. Mr. Richard is very knowledgeable about his line of mattresses and I happily made my purchase. Mattress arrived and did not disappoint. Delivery went without any problems, the crew was professional, and included setup. Dont let the young lady that assisted with the delivery fool you. She is stronger than she looks!!In short, if you're looking for a high quality, American-made mattress without the sales pressure of a chain store, buy local from Mr. Richard.”
“Target is wonderful we all know, but what makes this location so special? For me, it’s the way they handled the Onyx Storm book release yesterday, 1/21. Us fans were lined up at 6 am in 40 degree weather to get a chance at a book at 8 am. When the time came, a Target associate escorted the line of 40+ people inside to guest services where all of the books were being held for fast & easy checkout. We did not have to race each other to the back of the store or fight over purchase. The employees made sure we stayed in our line and MOST IMPORTANTLY: they limited purchase to one book per customer. These were special edition releases, so even though I was guaranteed a book near the front of the line, I can’t imagine how the people in the back would have felt seeing customers walk out with 5+ special edition runs (likely to be scalped online). Especially since lots of people at the front were buzzing about buying multiple, some even 3+ copies, despite already having the book at home from midnight release or expecting copies to arrive in the mail that day. Great job Target, for aligning with book lovers instead of amateur-entrepreneurs!!
I can’t speak for the online system that day, but book releases aren’t meant for online purchase. That would be called a pre order, which specifically was not available through Target (as it shouldn't have been). Anyone who was upset about that is just mad that their “hack” to be first from the comfort of their bed did not work out lol.”
