I reviewed their inventory online. Began the pre-approval process and received a call with my options in a matter of minutes. My vehicle is still under warranty. I had the option to purchase additional warranty. I walked in was NOT hounded by several salespeople but had an appointment with one associate who I'd spoke with. I test drove my vehicle and drove her home. Thank you Brandy(Orlando) and Barry (Jax) for making my experience the best. "My family and I bought two heavily faulty cars from this CarMax that inspection should have caught!
I just bought 2012 Honda CR-V last week with 51k miles. I test drove it and felt a vibration, but my salesman told me it was just the road I was on while driving and that it surpassed a 125 point inspection. A few days later, I signed and drove away and felt vibration as I was accelerating between 25-35 mph as soon as I drove off the lot. The entire first week until my scheduled service appointment it would make this awful vibration while accelerating. I took it in and within an hour they told me it was a transmission issue and it will be two weeks to get it taken care of.
A year ago my mom bought a 2014 Mustang and had a similar issue within the first week and they had to get it repaired and she was without it for a few weeks' time.
Although my mom and I were provided a rental car because we were within the 30 day period, I am extremely disappointed that they advertise such great inspections and won't sell you problematic vehicles, but yet I have a transmission issue that is very noticeable.
*****How does that happen? How did they not catch that? What else passed inspection and has gone without notice?**********
I had to waste time taking off of work with time I do not have to get this car taken care of, when I should not have had these issues with it in the first place.
Will not be back and will definitely give everyone the inside scoop on CarMax vs what CarMax pays to advertise."
