Love shopping at J C Penny's but lately the cashier at the checkout start arguing about not using the J C Penny's card.And ,this was a back and froth exchange for ten minutes..Don't use credit cards but for emergency. And would appreciate if they would not be arumentive about this.

Stop by to buy baby clothes. As we passed by jewelry, my wife saw a ring she liked. We waited about 5 minutes until I saw a lady who I think was a manager pass by in front of us without acknowledging us to grab a clear sign holder. Okay, then we waited another 5 minutes as the same lady passed by while I gave her the "help me" eyes but didn't bother to ask if we needed assistance. My wife asked me to see what the signs she was putting up. Apparently, she was putting signs to check in. I went and checked in, and finally, this lady said hi. Either way, she must have told someone else to help us. We waited another 5 minutes and left the jewelry section. It was not busy to not be helped.

Went there to pick up a curbside order. Pushed the magic button in the email only to be notified that curbside was unavailable and to please come inside. I picked curbside as I was having mobility issues and did not want to walk around the store. By the time I found the pick-up area I was in considerable discomfort. The young lady assisting me said they were short-staffed and they do not do curb-side when they are short-staffed. Very poor customer service.

Employees will ask you about 5 times for credit cards and do the same to every person. It is obnoxious.

JCP . . . it is what it is at least for now. Eventually this one and numerous others nationally will simply go away.
(2021 Update);This JCPenney seems to have taken a “we know we have problems but we simply don’t care” attitude to a new level. Inventory is often unorganized on racks and shelves, the fitting rooms cluttered with items left in there for hours, and check-out service potentially quite poor. The latter problem perhaps due to training (or lack thereof).
I grew up in a family that embraced JCP and used it for many things. Times definitely do change, as I can no longer recommend them for anything. Better experience elsewhere, including online.
May 2024 Update:
This location (Florida Mall) simply needs to go away . . . close . . . disappear. It's as if they are already a store going through Liquidation final days. The entire upstairs as shuttered all check-out registers and consolidated them into on single station, and today operated one single team members. There are zero price check terminals in the entire store, which would come in handy since numerous items are not correctly priced on the shelves/racks, and it isn't a pleasure to wait in line the check-out station just to verify a price before purchasing.
The sales structure of JC Penney had changed over the recent years, which matches the changes in corporate/CEO leadership. I truly believe they know how much of a mess they are, and simply are not concerned about it.
I cannot in any way recommend this store.

I highly recommend the hair salon at the Florida Mall, Orlando. April 2024 was my second appointment I had this year. The manager took note of my need, was engaging and attended to me quickly. Both times my stylist - Angel, provided high level, professional haircare service. I highly recommend her. Spacious, clean and professional environment.

After a year,
I went back to get a shorter bob and Lisa Z, the stylist did a great job with my hair. Will return to her again. My appt. Was at 1:00 and got called immediately. So am pleased for the service and the great job Lisa Z. did. Nice person for sure.???

They’re not what they used to be. It’s a hit or miss when going in. It all seems like a deal but, you must ? for it. I’ve found some good deals. And when I don’t I can kick myself for entering.
