“What a fantastic store! Don has a wealth of knowledge about fossils and is eager to share it with others. He patiently took the time to tell me about some of the items I’d found on the beach, and helped me pick excellent examples of Miocene era fossils for my students. There are fascinating educational displays and books, beautiful rocks and jewelry, and of course, really cool fossils and shark teeth to purchase! My favorite feature is a “try-your-luck” vending machine of sorts, where you can insert your 4 quarters and see which sharks’ teeth you are lucky enough to receive. I witnessed a young boy light up with joy when he hit the jackpot with a bull shark tooth and several others. What a great way to inspire interest in “earth’s treasures!” Visit this store and you won’t be disappointed!”
“Our Tiki Tyme visit exceeded our expectations. We couldn't decide what we wanted (and didn't see anything hanging up that really caught our eye) so they took out some available options and printed our items while we waited! This would be a stellar spot to have items made for girls weekend, family outings or bachelor parties. The owners took the time to go over everything with us, had great ideas, and knew most customers by name that came in. They had all the typical FL souvenirs, but I think the on site printing items and their customer service makes them stand out from all the rest. Don't waste your time on etsy- shop local! “Stopped in for the first time as we are about 1.5hrs south in N. Ft. Myers and what a lovely shop! They have Scandinavian candy, cheese, food, cookbooks and all kinds of items, gifts and more. We were trying to decide whether to buy Icelandic chocolate as I've been researching Iceland as I'd love to visit one day and the woman was so helpful and told us it was delicious and it is! Very nice people and helpful. Wi definitely stop by next time we are up that way!”
